I am more of a beach person and am thinking I would like to go to the beach in Cozumel--DH has been there before and has seen Tulum and thought it was cool. I don't want to spend that much time in a bus. The San Gervasio ruins excursion with a trip to the beach after sounds like a perfect compromise (kids are 6,9,12). Anyone done this or have any experience with it?

We did it in May and liked it a lot. We really wanted to see some ruins but not take the all day tour to Tulum. You DH might be disappointed in San Gervasio after seeing Tulum. Having not been to Tulum we thought it was very educational and a nice tour. We had a great guide!

You don't spend a lot of time at the beach itself - maybe an hour or so.

You do get a beautiful drive from the ruins over to the beach.

Hi Mary,
Do you remember the time frame for the tour? We have a Dolphin Swim at 3:30pm, which leaves time in the morning for something else. I think I remember reading these excursions can go long, so I thought I'd ask someone who has been.:D
Thanks for the info

Our tour left at noon. We had time in the morning to go into town (the Magic docks right there), then back to the ship for a quick lunch from Pluto's.

We got back to townabout 4:30-5:00. Time for a quick look at the shops closest to the pier and then back to the ship for early seating dinner.

Do you have to stay the whole time on a tour or can you come back early and not go to the beach?I dont know whether i want to go to the beach or not is why i a masking. Also,What is the diffrence in the 2 Ruins tours?
Thanks,
Misty
