Cozumel or Grand Cayman

Trying to decide on which destination on the 5 night Disney Cruise! Which one or any ideas from experience?!!!

Although, my family and I had a wonderful time at both locations...my vote would be Grand Caymen... just beautiful and easy to get around by yourself. Calico Jacks was clean and water was beautiful and clam. You'll have a great time either way but GC is really beautiful (I used that word 3 times). Have a great time!

We really like both, but if we could only pick one, we would pick Grand Cayman. Love stingray city

I'd pick the same. That being said, I really liked the excursion we did on Cozumel to Paradise Beach. Would do that again in a heartbeat!

I vote for Grand Cayman over Cozumel as well.

I love Cozumel. We've had some of our best excursions there - Baby Turtle Release, Dophin swim in Chankanaab National Park, and twice went to Paradise Beach. GC was okay - do hate tendering though.

Tough choice. I've done the baby turtles release in Cozumel which was amazing but the beach in Grand Cayman is wonderful... Sophie's choice.

I say go on a 7night on the Fantasy and go to both, if that's not an option than I'd choose GC.

I think the beaches are prettier at Grand Cayman and you can take a cab around very easily on your own. I have also done some non Disney excursions in Cozumel and had a great time. It's easier to find a party atmosphere in Cozumel if that's what you want. Both are family friendly. Typically you will have more time in the port in Cozumel.

I vote for Cozumel because you don't have to tender. Plus, they have a nice duty free shop at the port which has great prices on booze.

Both are good choices.

Grand Caymen. However you run the risk of missing this port if the seas are to rough for the tender boats

Do you want top notch snorkeling, and pristine beaches? Grand Cayman. Do you want awesome resorts with swim up bar pools and "all inclusive" experiences? Cozumel.

They are both great, perhaps a slight nod to Cozumel as you don't have to tender.

I had previously said GC, but others bring up a good point about GC and tendering. On our cruise this past Jan our excursion at GC was cancelled because of rough seas. We were going to do the stingray excursion, but even beach excursions were cancelled. A Carnival ship before ours tried to tender for a long time, wasn't able to do it and left. Our ship was able to tender, but a lot of people had their excursions cancelled.

We've done both. Cozumel twice and Grand Cayman once. One awesome thing about tendering at GC is that you get a great view of the ship and can take some awesome pictures. The tendering was less of a pain then I thought it would be. It was fun to go to Hell.

But I really like Cozumel as well. We did a dolphin excursion at Chankanaab state park and the most surprising thing to me was how awesome the snorkeling was there. I've always heard snorkeling was better at GC but at Chankanaab it was awesome. We had a great day there that day.

I honestly don't think you could go wrong either way. I might pick Grand Cayman only because it doesn't seem to be offered as much and its easier to find a cruise that goes to Cozumel.
