Cozumel Excursion

I'm looking at booking the Xplor Park excursion through DCL. I saw the excursion lasts 7-7.5 hours; it is stated we are in Cozumel for 8 hours. Since the excursion will be booked through Disney, is there nothing to worry about on getting back?
I have a follow-up question as well. I was in Cozumel last year and loved this mini-surfboard souvenir being sold in the Cozumel Port. It had a painting of a Disney cruise line ship on the surfboard. I remember passing this shop/stand on the way back to the ship and am wondering if I would have time to pay money and pick this up on our walk back? If not, does anyone know if they sell this item at other Western Caribbean ports of call?

I wouldn't worry about getting back in time since you are booking through Disney. I would also think you would have time to stop and get your surf board (we have a regular picture from the same place and love mine) as its directly on the path to get back to the ship. I would have your money handy and choose quickly which one you waned. If you are a faster walker, you could probably catch up to your group before getting to the ship as they still have to through security exiting the mall (have your ID and Key card out), down the escalator, and then all the way down the dock. If you are running short of time, their are bicycle carts that will bike you to the ship (MIL rode one as she was tired and didn't want to walk it and it shaved a few minutes off her time).

No need to worry about getting back to the ship since it's a Disney excursion. Cozumel excursions like this that are the boat ride to the mainland are the only ones I'd do through DCL rather than independently for this reason. You probably will not have time to shop though, because you'll catch the ferry on the pier while all of the shops are on land. So, you won't pass any of the shops between the ferry boat and the Disney ship. You'd have to take the escalator up and cross the street to get to the shops that are the opposite direction of the ship. I'd say you probably need at least 30 minutes for this and would watch the clock very closely if you do it. These ferry excursions frequently run over and end up having cruise ships wait a short while on them, so there's a very good chance you wouldn't have any extra time at all.
