I haven’t seen any reviews or threads about the Cozumel excursion titled VIP Catamaran and Luxury Sailing (CZ106). Has anyone tried this excursion? Is snorkeling or a beach stop included? Is it a limited capacity sailing? I’m traveling with two other families. We are a group of 6 adults and 6 kids (ages 7-10). I’m searching for a Cozumel boat outing that is age appropriate and not crowded.

I'm not sure what you consider crowded but I highly recommend the Fury Catamaran. It does hold quite a few people but the snorkeling is amazing, lovely private beach with inflatables for the kids to climb on in the water (and floats for the parents to lounge on while they play), and just the best crew. We have done it 6 times and keep rebooking. It does not include food but you can purchase freshly grilled burgers at the beach and margaritas and sodas are included.

No beach landing mentioned, just two stops for snorkeling and/ or water play paddle board, water pad).

When you can’t find reviews here, you often find them for the excursion on a different cruise line. Or at Cruise Critic.

Minimum age is 8 years. There’s typically no wiggle room if booked through the cruise line. Maximum weight is 250#.

Thank you! That minimum age is going to get us. We may need to book privately!

I saw a YouTube video of the Fury catamaran. Yes, those boats are VERY crowded. Plus it’s a 45-minute ride to get to the beach.

The ride from the snorkel point is less but it is a lovely ride, you can sit up top and they pass out drinks. The ride back they play music and dance like cha cha slide and stuff. It is so much fun but if it is not for you it is not for you.

You have the group size that makes a private rental doable. TripAdvisor and Viator may be good places to look for your needs.

We did this excursion several years ago and loved it! There were only four of us on boat, and the crew took great care of us. The snorkeling stops were excellent, as were the food and beverages served afterwards. And on the return trip they broke out the fishing gear for anyone interested - I took them up on it and had a lot of fun (see picture) 😎
