Cozumel Excursion... Or not?

Platinum member here! We have done a jeep excursion twice on Cozumel. We did one through Disney, and booked the other on our own. I preferred the private booking. We had more flexibility on how much time we spent at the stops we made. You get to see the beauty of the island away from the tourist area.

With whom dis you book the private jeep excursion? Did you drive or have a driver as part of the excursion?

I'm a little bit concerned about the drinking water in Mexico. I know that we should only drink bottled water but what about ice or water used in food preparation?

If you are in a resort area like a beach club, you will be fine.

Has anyone done: Fury Catamaran Sail Snorkel and Beach Party (CZ12)? Not going until early next year, but always ready to look at Port Adventures.

Found Scott's review from 2018 for anyone who might be interested in the future: https://disneycruiselineblog.com/20...ury-catamarans-sail-snorkel-beach-party-cz12/
We did this excursion several years ago and did enjoy it. But there are some caveats to it I think. The area where you go to snorkel is not ideal. We did see some fish, but nothing outstanding. I would compare it to what you can see at Castaway Cay. The water can be pretty choppy and so for inexperienced snorkelers it’s not great. The catamarans themselves are really nice, but you go on and off of them on a ladder that extends into the water that’s lowered down from the center of the catamaran. Because this ladder and the catamaran move with the water getting on and off the boat can be challenging. The beach area is really nice with both sunny and shady areas, and enough room for everyone. There are some floatable‘s out in the ocean in front of their beach area. There was really only one of them that was OK for smaller kids, the rest of them really were for big kids and adults.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, these two things are deal breakers between my son, who will be 8 and isn't a strong swimmer yet, and my mom who has some physical challenges.

You might consider one of the beach clubs. It would be both relaxing for your mom and active for your son.
