hi all- just booked this excursion for cozumel its the beach break, cz15 through disney. looks like a big trampoline park in the water plus water slide etc. you stay at the resort all day. Has anyone done this??? my kids are 9,5,5 and very strong swimmers- if that is a factor. TYIA!

We have done this a couple of times and enjoyed it. Swimmers must wear life vests if they are going out to the inflatable.
The pool areas are very nice and the buffet they serve is ok. It did not knock my socks off but it was included along with a couple of drinks (when they do Margaritas they do them right) per adult.

They have some souvie shops as you are walking in and out with basic products in case you don't have time to shop at the port before you get back on board. Same product and some really nice leather goods. My husband bought a nice pair of boots, a great hat (still gets compliments on it) and a belt or two over the visits we have made.

Are you on the Panama Canal cruise next week? We will be doing this excursion! It's the one I'm looking forward to most!

I was looking at this one too. It's not much more than buying day passes to the resort, but Disney transports you.

On the drinks - did you mean a couple of types of drinks are included or a couple of drinks? The resort pass is unlimited alcohol but the DCL website was unclear on that.

A couple of drinks per adult were included. If you wanted more than that, they are reasonably priced. Let's just say that the tequila was plentiful in my husbands drinks. :) They were very generous.

We didn't do that one, but did a DIY at Paradise Beach. It was very easy to do from the pier, was $10-25/person (admission is a few dollars, if you want to get on the inflatables, it's another $15 for a wrist band, and they ask that you spend $10/person on food or drink, though they really didn't keep track), and we were very impressed. There were TONS of in water inflatables for the kids, the beach was very clean, the pool very nice, the service fantastic, and the food good. I only mention it because for kids that like the water activities, this place really has it all. It was very easy to get to and from as well, so you would almost have to try to be late and miss the ship departure.

My wife and I went there, booked through Disney, this past November. It was an open bar for draft beer and mixed drinks when we went. We just had some cash with us to tip the servers on the beach.

We did this August 2015. 4 adults and 3 kids 4, 4, 6 year olds. It was our first port and I regret not buying more souvenirs there as they had the cheapest ones of all the ports!

The beach break was perfect, we took the bus to the resort- you get off and they have a few shops (we didn't buy there- we bought when we were headed back to the ship- where bus drops you off).

Headed to the beach- Plenty of lounge chairs available. The kids loved the inflatable rafty thing- It made me feel like a flopping fish- Lets just say I spent more time trying to get on to the raft than I actually spent on it!

Drinks were flowing! There was a server who came through and took orders- or once he was familiar with what we were drinking he just keep them coming!!

The kids loved the water slides-and splash area. They spent most of the time there.

I didn't eat from the buffet- I'm extremely picky and it just didn't look appealing to me. One of the guys did and they said it was ok.

Check out what they have going on for kids- They had a piñata that the kids loved...Dali Dali Dali...will be in your head for days!!

When the bus takes you back is when you have some time to shop in the little "mall" before heading back to the ship.

They also have free wifi!

We would do this again in a heart beat.

ETA- FYI-there is a lot of seaweed to swim through on the way to the raft.

It was okay. (DD is 8 btw) the water slides were really slow, like super slow and that was what she had been looking forward to the most. The pool was nice and the splash pad area looked great for the younger crowd. The food was only so so but drinks were unlimited, at least beer and very strong margaritas. DD got to know a couple of girls from the ship while we were there.

Ditto previous poster. We did Cozumel Beach Break booked through DCL and it was fabulous for us. Not crowded where we were. Food was only ok but we weren't there for food. Pool excellent and DD8 swam 2 or 3 times in the pool. Hubby and I sat on lounge chairs at the beach all day and had a few drinks and relaxed. Hubby tipped server $5 early in the day and got fabulous service all day.

Anyone done this excursion recently?
We did this excursion in January and really regretted it. The resort itself was OK but extremely crowded. My kids did enjoy the water slides and the climbing areas out in the ocean (which as an American lawyer seemed like a set-up that was sufficiently dangerous it would never exist in the US).

The reason we regretted it was that it took *at least* 45m of walking/standing around in the sun/local mall to get on a coach, and another 20 or so to the beach. My guess is that for far less money, you could hail a taxi and book a day pass at the resort. I have no idea how much of a cluster it was to get back, because we took a taxi back on our own after a couple hours.

Thank you - that is very helpful! 😊
