I'd really like to try the Tea Party on our next (still to be booked) trip. Does anyone have any photos of the food offerings? I've googled before but have only found pics of some near empty plates of very sorry looking doughnuts! But it always *sounds* way nicer :)

Also, what time is the last sitting at the tea party?

Anyone?
I know the tea party runs from approx 4.30-6 but I wasn't sure whether you have to turn up at 4.30, or whether you can book a slot eg 5pm, 5.15pm, 5.30pm etc :)

We went last week, had booked for 5 but turned up around 4.40 and this was fine.
Sorry no pics of the food but from what I can remember there was lollipops, sweets, muffins, chocolate brownies, donughts, pancakes with sauce and I think there was also fruit?! I could be wrong!
It was good and my daughter loved it but my advice would be to get a table that's in the isle- we got bypassed by the lady serving drinks about 4 times and eventually had to go and approach the woman and ask for drinks, I think his was because our table was tucked away in the corner.

I didn't rate the cowboy cookout tea party at all. Partly due to the room being full of inconsiderate ruffian, apart from a nice English family sat nearby who looked equally appalled, the food choice was poor and we had to wait about an hour to get a drink. The buffet table was out of water, the hot drinks machine was out of water & the staff came round with jugs of pop very rarely & had to service a lot of people.

I ate 3 little bits of brownie & had 2 small cups of coke. DH has a sweet tooth & he didn't eat much either.

I must have got the times wrong & instead of arriving on time, we arrived when it was heaving. The queue for the food table was incredibly long. The upside of this was, by the end most people had left and the characters were still coming round & we did get some great character interaction then . . . . even if some people were still trying to push in.

Oh we did get a souvenir pack of cards & a packet of sweets.

We had to buy sandwiches before for lunch & later that evening as we were still hungry. It would only have cost a few euros more to do Inventions again. We sat there the whole time agog & shaking our heads . . . apart from when the characters were playing with us.

That's a big shame River<3Mickey. I think we'd only be able to justify it if it was sufficient as a light tea, with us having eaten our main meal at lunchtime. And if it was a teatime ish sort of time. Definitely not worth it if we have to go and buy something afterwards anyway! I must admit that the photos I've seen didn't look great but I've read some really lovely reviews so I wasn't sure.

I'd have to agree- we didn't eat much at all but really enjoyed the character interaction, I was glad I'd payed to do this as my 3yo is obsessed with woody and wouldn't of seen him otherwise.

Thanks both :) Did you have to go and buy something else to eat later on too, Noo?

Thanks for posting this as I too was wondering about this one. But, I think if I'm going to eat here, sounds like lunch is the best bet :thumbsup2.

I don't know why they can't provide little sandwiches or something at these tea party type things (even if it means taking away one sweet course), that way they are better value and you don't have to buy something else afterwards :confused3. All down to profit I expect....

I thought we were going to see Woody but he wasn't there :sad2:

I would of preferred to do the lunch, but all the menus I saw only had meat on them. When we were there the posters have a veggy burger option, but I didn't see them til we were inside for the tea party.

That's a shame  I mentionned it back in Jan when I saw it and took a photo but you must have missed it.

At least next time you can give it a go and it will be much better than a few donuts ;)

Yeah we went to earl of sandwich on our way back to the hotel.
I'd say it's worth it if you've not met many characters- but if you were going for just the food I wouldn't bother!
Also a family behind us had ordered a birthday cake, and we're then told they weren't allowed to take it out of the cafe. There was only 3 of them so there was no way they could of eaten it (especially as all the food on offer was sweet!)
So unless you were in a very large party I wouldn't choose the cookout for a birthday cake!

Maybe I'll see about Cafe Mickey and Inventions instead for our character fix :) Thanks all

We were there last week in December :laughing::laughing:

I am toying with going on Thursday next week. Our train leaves mid afternoon & my friend isn't doing the parks that day so River & I are doing EMH for the only day, but I suspect R will be fast asleep by then / on full meltdown because she's too tired.

we are going to book Cowboy at dinner time is that better option than the tea party. We only booking to see Woody and Jessie hope they are around??:goodvibes
