Quand j'etait en ecole elementaire (je sais qu'il y a un autre phrase pour ca, mais j'ai oublie), j'ai la classe de francais un fois par semaine. En college, j'ai le francais quatre fois par semaine. Et finalment, en lycee, j'ai le francais cinq fois par semaine jusq'ua cette annee. Cette annee etait ma dernier avec le francais jusq'ua l'universite. Je vous aime tous!

For some reason, when I read French, the conjugations and the gender mistakes click in my head somewhat like they do in English.

That was the big draw for me right after the fact that I'd had so many years of the language already was the trip to France. They do that for the upper level kids and they do a smaller trip to Quebec for lower level kids, too. But these aren't really school trips. It's more my teacher takes us in the summer because the school won't let her during the school year.
