I am planning a trip for April. Because we are from NY we are required to be tested 2 days before we go home. Is there anywhere onsite to get tested or does anyone know anywhere nearby we could get tested. Thanks in advance for any help.

The nearest test site to Universal is at the Orange County Convention Center's Destination Parkway Garage, but you will need a car, as it's drive-up only. If you want a walk-up site, Uber/Lyft over to the Disney Maingate Office Complex (3010 Maingate Lane, Kissimmee). Both are free and offer the rapid test.

How does that work actually? Do we present the test at the airport before boarding? Or do they want it when we land in NY?

As far as I've heard all you have to do when you land in
NY is fill out a form. No one asks you anything about testing.

PA just dropped their testing/quarantine requirement today for out of state travel. Maybe NY will follow suite soon.
I hope so! It would really stink to have to waste park time to go get tested somewhere! Thanks for the update!

One can hope. It made sense when there was a large disparity in the case numbers between states. But as things stand now, COVID is pretty widespread. I understand NY/NJ/CT allowing travel between the three states becasue of how interconnected the economies are, but it doesn't make sense to allow free travel from the tristate area, but require testing/quarantine from people traveling from lower-risk areas. We recently went to the USVI where case counts were far lower than here, but still had to get swabbed to return to work/school here where community spread is higher. At least over the summer, the red and green zones were based on data; this just feels like jumping through hoops.
