COVID TESTING REQUIREMENTS

Hello everyone ~ just want to completely understand the Covid 19 testing requirements for saiing. If we are fully vaxed, do I understand that we provide our vax information through Safe Passage and then undergo a test by Disney at the pier? Is that it? Do we NOT have to provide a negative test result from any other test in advance such as those provided by CVS, Walgreens, etc.?

Thanks

Unless you’re traveling with kids under 5. They need to be tested 1-3 days before the cruise.

I got an email this morning from DCL with testing procedures. It mentions if you get a positive test, they will give you a second test to confirm the results. Is that new?

It was my understanding they always processed the PCR test twice if positive. Since they are switching to Antigen they may actually be performing a 2nd test.

Did the email confirm if they are doing antigen now?

We got the "Your Disney Cruise is on the Horizon" email yesterday for our sailing on April 11, it does not say they will give you a second test. What's does yours say?

They must only be doing the antigen in Port Canaveral as we are sailing out of Miami on April 7 and my "your cruise is on the horizon" email that came states this under Embarkation testing:

Embarkation COVID-19 Testing
All Guests, regardless of age and vaccination status, are required to take a COVID-19 test (paid for by Disney Cruise Line and administered by Inspire Diagnostics) at the terminal before boarding. This will be the second of two COVID-19 PCR tests required for unvaccinated Guests. Guests with positive COVID-19 test results—as well as those sharing the same stateroom and their close contacts—will be denied boarding.

Says nothing about testing a second time so I think they will still do the PCR.

We sail from San Diego this Weds, 3/30. This was the "Important Information About Your Cruise" email. It doesn't specify what type of Covid test we'll get. Just says it'll take about 30 minutes to get results.

I was surprised about the line stating they would give you a second test if positive.

We sail from Miami on April 2 and haven't gotten an email like this yet. 🤔

4 night out of PC or 5 night out of Miami?

PC is switching to antigen testing but Miami isn't yet (as far as we know) so they might be pushing out different communications.
5 Night Miami. I saw in the other thread where the person said they called Safe Passage and were told PC on the 26th and rolling out to the rest in the coming weeks or something like that.

I’m also on the 3/30 San Diego cruise, and my letter this morning has the same wording as that received by DLR70.

Do you do the test yourself at the port or do they do it? I’m curious how the process works when you don’t drive in.

Currently, with the PCR testing, you swab yourself but in front of a person.
