Covid test timing

We sail out on a Sunday and I will need to get my daughter a test before we sail. Is Thursday night considered 3 days before? If I go off sail away time, after 4 pm on Thursday would be less than 72 hours. I am just worried that if I test Friday lab backups may mean we don't have the results back in time.

We sail on January 3. My daughter in law checked with Inspire Diagnostics and they advised that anytime on December 31st would be the earliest they would accept. They go by days not hours.

Cruise is day 0 so 12/31 would be your Day 3.

I don't think OP's sailing on January 3... I am. I just gave her the answer that was provided to us by Inspire Diagnostics.
