Anyone able to offer clarity? Stay booked for August for 5 days. All family fully jabbed, but we need to take a test before we return I believe (at least travellers over 11).

Where and how do we do this from DLP? Is it a nightmare?!

65 euros!!!, wow, that's a scam right? any idea about how a US covid vaccine card works there? do we have to get tests every 72 hours because our cards don't work with their Pass Sanitaire

It is 48 hours, https://www.gouvernement.fr/info-coronavirus/pass-sanitaire

And best to check with your government how to work with your vaccination certificate and their rules.

The French have an app TousAntiCovid, if they get vaccinated or get a negative test result you can scan the QR code and then your app will show a green screen.
As I understand the website it is also allowed to show proof on paper.

In this case, it is probably a blessing that the French are less tech savvy and still do a lot of things the old fashioned way.

I know it’s an extortionate joke! They were free a few days ago.

I think they were only free for the French citizens. I think foreigners always had to pay.

Prices can vary so much. For a PCR test I can pay up to 120 euro here in NL. Antigen is around the 50-60 euro.

i read, and so take that on face value, that it was free for all for return to US. I believe i saw that in multiple websites but either way now it is not free. With recent reading also, again from websites so not from actual experience, the test prices were between 50 and 30 euros, for PCR and antigen, respectively. so i feel like they are being huge thieves taking advantage of rich Americans at Disneyland... and clearly we are all rich. I digress, the situation is very annoying... and with this Pass Sanitaire debacle, how the heck are US vaccinated people supposed to prove anything if the card we have doesn't fit in the electronic system in France. sigh, my September trip is gonna be interesting, hopefully they don't force me to cancel

I know you just are up to date on France as you have a trip to Disneyland Paris, but its not just France, its EVERY country in the EU that has this electronic QR code for vaccine status. Its official name is the EU DIGITAL COVID CERTIFICATE. its just called the Pass Sanitaire in France. I am from Ireland and I got mine a few days ago, a PDF document with a QR code. In Ireland we can add the QR code to our Covid Tracker App and it will be used to verify vaccine status in Ireland for indoor dining as well as travel to other European countries. American tourists to EVERY country in Europe will be in the same position, its not just "rich" Americans going to Disneyland Paris.

And you are wrong to call out the French that they are taking advantage of rich Americans and charging for the Covid test to leave the country. Its EXACTLY the same in Ireland and other European countries. Every country is charging around the same amount. You are not being singled out for being "rich" American.

I get your frustration, as I am waiting for my second shot, I have to get tested at least once during my next trip. I am going with what the website of the French government says paper proof is allowed. And I assume my test taken in NL before my flight will be good enough to get through the first 48 hours.

The Dutch government has in its information about travelling to France that the Dutch app we have for proof of vaccination is valid.
I can't imagine your government doesn't have some sort of information about which documents / apps with proof are allowed.

The USA is very different to Europe. There is no nationwide system for vaccinations or a national data base like the European countries have. They don't have access to an official Government issued QR code to prove vaccination status like we do. Many people do not even get a paper card with the vaccine details like we did.

Yes, I heard. But still the government of a country makes agreements with other countries which/how its citizens can travel the other country, do you need a passport, a visa etc. In that category should be some remarks what is valid to travel.

If the president is looking into removing the travel ban from EU to US, they are most likely also thinking about this.

For return testing to the US, you can use the observed BinaxNow tests, which are available in either a six-pack from eMed for $150, which can be used by multiple individuals:

https://www.emed.com/products/covid-at-home-testkit-six-pack
Or you can buy smaller numbers of tests from Optum: https://store.optum.com/products/abbott-binaxNOW-COVID-19-ag-at-home-test-kit

In a French news article from yesterday, a source from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the CDC card would be an accepted in lieu of the Health Pass for non-EU residents:

Disneyland Paris has published on their website the workings and rules of the Pass Sanitaire on the French and the Dutch website.
It's not on the English page yet, but I assume it will not take long.

It gives an overview of the rules, links to the French government, and a like to get tested onsite at Disney Village.

Edit: I had sent a message to Loxamed as the website doesn't say how long it takes before you get your test results. The answer is: It will take 12 to 24 hours before you get your test results.
So if you need to take a test on site, you have to take it at least 24 hours before your other test expires.
I've made my reservation online for a test, process was easy.

Does the newly posted information discuss whether the US CDC vaccination cards will be accepted?

I find it odd that the official Disneyland Paris website states that Loxamed offers antigen tests, but it doesn't say anything about that on the Loxamed site. I sent a message to Loxamed to ask for confirmation if antigen tests are available.

This is what is stated on the DLP site, partially translated by Google: (https://www.disneylandparis.com/fr-fr/mesures-sanitaires/):

Si vous n’avez pas reçu un schéma vaccinal complet, vous pouvez accéder à Disneyland Paris sur présentation d’une des deux preuves suivantes :

- Un test négatif RT-PCR ou antigénique de moins de 48h;

This test center is equipped and managed by an independent service provider, Loxamed, approved by the French health authorities. The prices for the tests, defined by the independent service provider Loxamed, are detailed below (the prices indicated are per test and per person):

PCR tests (results in 24 hours):

- People affiliated to the French social security system: 20 euros (management fees)
- People not affiliated to the French social security system: 63.89 € (management fees + 43.89 euros, price of the PCR test set by the state)

Antigenic tests (results generally available in 15 minutes):
- People affiliated to the French social security system: 20 euros (management fees)
- People not affiliated to the French social security system: 45.01 € (management fees + 25.01 euros , price of the antigen test set by the state)

btw, thank you so much for all of this HELPFUL info!!! I really appreciate it.

DLP has now also updated the English websites, posted it on social media and AP holders also received an e-mailing about it.

I have sent Loxamed an e-mail to ask about the antigen tests. When I hear back from them, I'll let you know.

Loxamed responded to my email and confirmed that antigen tests are available with no appointment needed, so that's a weight off my mind if our CDC cards or California digital vaccine record aren't acceptable proof of vaccination.

However, since DLP website says "Guests can present any form of Health Pass, including the EU digital COVID-19 certificate, or equivalent for non-European Union countries, which fulfills the criteria outlined above" I'm hoping no tests will be needed.

I just came to report the exact same thing. No appointment needed for antigen :)
Also good to know, the agent offered to refund me my already paid for PCR test.
