Hello all :earsgirl:

My bachelorette, bridal shower(s), and wedding will likely all be postponed again.

One of my bridesmaids and I were looking to still make a trip to Disney as a mini bachelorette deal. I just really need some Disney magic right now.

That being said, which resort would you recommend staying at for a small group of 2-3 girls doing a mini-bachelorette type of thing? We are looking for more of an active pool (really wanted Beach Club, but Stormalong Bay is closed) and a place that still has some stuff to do in the resort if possible. And also, preferably NOT a skyliner resort because I’m terrified of those things.

Thank you! Have a magical day :tink:

I would look at BWI or Poly if you are interested in a deluxe. BWI has a great pool bar and you can still access everything available on the Boardwalk, plus you can walk to EP and DHS (or take the boat) and don't need to use the Skyliner if you don't want to. Poly has a fun vibe and a great pool.

Look to rent points to stay at the Polynesian. Beautiful pool, the deluxe studio you can share, walk to the Grand Floridian. They also have a wonderful quiet pool open 24 hours with a jacuzzi. You can also take the boat over to the WIlderness Lodge! Plenty resort fun. Have a wonderful time. Great idea for young people to forget about this crazy time.

I’ve stayed at the Poly before and was looking to do something a little less expensive and something new. Especially because we will probably do that for the honeymoon (or for part of it). Have you done the cabins at Wilderness? How are they? Are they pretty far from everything?

Do you mean the Ft Wilderness Cabins or the Cascade Cabins at Wilderness Lodge?

Does anybody know when Port Orleans will be opening?
No word on POR or POFQ.

These are the resorts currently open:
And these are the expected opening dates for some others:
July 29Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
August 12Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort
August 24Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort
September 21Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
October 1Disney's BoardWalk Inn
October 14Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

Ft Wilderness Cabins.
The bedroom has a Queen Bed and a Bunk Bed and the living room has a Double-Size Sleeper Sofa. Only one bathroom.
I would stay near downtown Disney. This way I could go out for dinner and drinks.
Both OKW and SSR have boats to Disney Springs (or buses). You can also walk to DS from SSR. You can walk from OKW, too, but the path isn't lit. So you can't walk at night.

Do you think Stormalong Bay may open on or shortly after 8/24?

What about copper creek or boulder ridge? We really enjoyed the pool at WL and liked geyser point a lot

Consider Swan & Dolphin! They have some good deals right now with rates, it’s more adult, great location with ability to walk to two parks, and some serious dining. I believe you can also rent cabanas which is rare at WDW.
