For those of you who have been there lately... are they loading the boats in Pirates and the Jeeps in Indy to capacity? Or are they seating every other row... something like that? (The germ-a-phobe in our group wants to know!) TIA

Other than masks indoors, operations seem to be as if covid doesn't exist.

Yep- that is what it was like in October. Even telling people to "fill in all available space". We were shoulder to shoulder with people or were bumping into each other just like in the "old days". Do not expect any kind of social distancing.

They have been loading every seat since June 15. There is an indoor mask mandate.

I was there Friday, and indeed, every seat is filled, including single riders where applicable.

It's about 50/50 for people wearing masks correctly inside (ie, over the nose). It's also about 50/50 wearing masks outside.

I'm immunocompromised, so I tend to be pretty cautious, and felt fairly safe at DL. I wore my surgical mask 100% of the time if anyone was within 8-10 feet of me (yes, even outdoors). Always masked in queues because no one's following social distancing there.

I do routine C19 testing weekly, so we'll soon find out if my precautions were enough.

I'm sure you will be fine. We go every weekend. No Covid yet.

I really have very little concern that I caught it. I mean, statistically, we know plenty of people there likely had it and just didn't know, so some risk of exposure. But breathing at all is an exposure risk at this point.

My birthmother came to visit for a week around Thanksgiving and became symptomatic about the time she got home, and tested positive shortly thereafter. She's 100% positive she got it from the plane. So to listen to her, I have undoubtedly contracted it during my flights as well. Eye roll. But it's a person more older than me, so I can't really say, "I told you so" if I'm negative.

Your germ-a-phobe group member is going to feel very uncomfortable. They pack you in the queues like sardines. Just like back in the olden times of 2019. "Fill up all the available space" is said at every ride.

"If you have to ask, you shouldn't go" not trying to sound facetious, just truthful. If someone in your group has any doubt in their mind about being around other guests, they shouldn't travel to one of the most popular theme parks in the world.

I agree with this. Other than the indoor mask requirement, it’s totally back to normal as far as packing the crowds in. I took my husband yesterday who is not a germaphobe and who had covid over the holidays (we all did) so he was not worried about catching covid but he hadn’t been to Disney in years much less since covid and he was a little surprised at how it was.

Let us know. We were there Dec 23- Jan3. (All Vaxxed and boosted.). My daughter is pretty cautious, we wear masks inside, and in queues even outside. She started feeling a sore throat Jan 2 with other cold symptoms. Got home and tested positive Jan 4. We think she got it NYE as our tour guide also came down with it, with symptoms mirroring my daughters. None of the rest of us got it. She felt nothing more than a cold for 4 days, but had to stay out of work for a week.

I disagree that you shouldn’t go all together if there’s a germ-a-phobe in your group. Just make sure they know what they’re getting into. I’ve been on 3 multi-day trips to Disneyland since reopening (and 1 2-week trip to WDW) and I’ve never gotten covid. But yeah everything is full capacity. The only thing that’s different from pre-covid is the indoor mask mandate which they enforce very well
