I have not rented with Turo but I would be super careful with that in Hawaii.
The thing about Hawaii is so much of the state's income is from tourist dollars that they tend to crack down on things like VRBO, AirBnB and any other indie type rentals.
Mostly because the state looses tax income because of them.
If you look at VRBO for private houses in Ko Olina and some other resort areas, you will see you cannot rent for less than 30 days. This was part of a strict reform done in 2019 on indie rentals
Hawaii has lost so much money because of Covid, I can see them doing something similar with Turo.
I would have a bigger name agency with a decent cancellation policy as a back up if renting with Turo.
I saw that someone suggested that Air Canada Vacations has good prices for car rentals right now in Orlando, maybe they also have them in Oahu? Worth a couple minutes to check.
I used Costco.COM to rent a car in Boston a couple of weeks ago, got my best price that way. It just meant setting up a USA account but I was able to do so with my Canadian Costco membership number.
Good luck!
