Yes it is 18 and older.

It is adult only. But you know what I've seen them do is let uner 18 year olds order drinks and they take them out to them. Next best thing to actually being there.

There was nothing better than slipping out of the room in the morning, going up to the Cove Cafe and enjoying a cappucino while surfing the 'net for a bit.

It was a nice, quiet start to my day.

I do not drink coffee but love the atmosphere of the Cove Cafe.....when we sailed last Feb they had no non-coffee drinks. On last week's cruise I was happy to see a few tea additions but still no Chai Tea lattes listed on the menu.....but.....if you ask the CM she will make you a special Chai latte....not as spiced as Starbucks but still good.

Do they allow smoking inside? When we walked about the door of the Cove Cafe it was like walking through a smoke cloud and we just kept going to get away from the smell. We didn't make it inside because we assumed there was smoking inside. But I should have checked.

Is there smoking inside, or just outside the Cove Cafe?

Did not notice anyone smoking inside but did find as well that many people used those comfy chair area outside the cafe as a smoking area since all those small tables outside did have ash trays on them.

Does the Cove Cafe sell mixed drinks?
I am looking for a spot to meet each night about 10-10:30 with friends to talk about how the day went. Would the Cove be good for this, or can anyone suggest a quiet spot that serves coffees, and mixed drinks?

wmiller86, the Cove would be perfect for this. I believe you could have any mixed drink you might want. Personally, my favourite drink in there was a strawberry martini.

Where is this located on deck forward or aft? I was on Magic in 2002 and don't remember this place, we are going this month and will like to check it out. Thanks!

Deck 9, midship, but closer to the forward elevators. Right before the adult pool, if you're walking forward.

Look at 1/3 of the way down on the left side for the Cove Cafe. Right near the adult pool.

Willie, Another great place to hang out with adults that is usually more quiet and relaxing is the Sessions Bar. They have a piano player in there every night and you can get cocktails in there. One night he did an evening with Sinatra and his voice was great.

It wasn't there in 2002, that's why you don't remember it! They look the former teen lounge, Common Ground, and remodeled it a bit, moved the teens up to The Stack, and renamed that space Cove Cafe. If you are at the adult pool, look at Signals, the bar, and immediately to the right of it is one of the doors to the Cove Cafe. There is also a side entrance, on the side of the ship, just a few feet from the Goofy pool area.
