I'm a little confused on the location of the Cove Bar. It's on top of Ariel's Grotto??? Do you enter Ariel’s Grotto or do they have a separate entrance? Can I make a reservation there?

For the record I have never been to it and am probably as confused as you are :lmao:. But there was a thread earlier last month about the bar and I thought they had said it was next to it... Hopefully someone else can set me straight:)

The Cove Bar is adjacent to Ariel's Grotto, from the outside view. Not sure about the entrance since I've never been inside the bar area. Sure someone else can fill us in on that!

It is entirely outside and has a nice view of Paradise Pier and the water. No reservations are required, as it is like any standard bar/lounge. Just walk in and grab a table. The menu is located here. The most popular dish is Lobster Nachos, which always receives rave reviews. The bar carries an almost full assortment, and offers a slower paced afternoon break. Note, slower paced as in service isn't fantastic here. Don't stop by if you are short on time - better suited for a leisurely, laid-back drink and apps kind of place. :thumbsup2

During WoC, The Cove Bar charges a $10 cover. However, the view isn't immensely fantastic from there, it sure might be nice to SIT (big positive there) and sip some wine and nibble on a snack while waiting and watching the show!

Good to know!

To enter the Cove Bar simply walk in as if you are going to AG, instead walk staight back (don't go downstairs) and you will walk into the CB. No reservations are required, simply grab a table or sit at the bar. Children are welcome but not at the bar, they can only sit at a table.
There is an alternate "gate" outside, but it is much easier to simply walk in from the AG entrance.

Yeah, the alternate gate is kind of sketchy looking to me, haha. But like pixie said, you just don't go downstairs like you do for AG so yes, it's on top of it. And for the record, I really like Cove Bar. It's a wonderful place to sit, relax, and grab some snacks and drinks.

I saw people using the gate but it just felt odd to me. I prefer to use the main entrance. lol
