We'll be at DL/DCA May 10th - 13th. Will the Cove Bar be open during any of those days? We usually only go to DL during the slowest of slow times and have never tried it.

TIA :flower3:

They aren't open all hours, but I usually see them open at *some* point during the afternoon on our visits. You could probably ask an Ariel's CM about their hours, if you don't see that the Cove is open when you walk by.

Thanks Molly...I'll do that. Have you ever been with your DS?

I have! He napped in his stroller (Volo, so pretty small) most of the time we were there. :)

When you have a "minor" with you you have to sit at the tables, not right at the bar. They don't have a kid's menu, but when DS woke he liked the tortilla chips that came with the artichoke dip hubby and I were eating. I think we brought some other snacks for DS, since we knew there was no chance something as yuck-looking as artichoke dip was going to work for E. (and yet he loves hummus and mayo and other dippy things, go figure!)

Thanks for the info Molly, we are going to let the girls do a few boardwalk rides while we sit at the Cove Bar and have a drink. :) I'm very much looking forward to that and perhaps some lobster nachos! YUM!

Good to know, thanks for the fast reply! Going to the Cove Bar is one of those things we've just never crossed off the to-do list....I'm hoping that when we're there on Mother's Day we can go and enjoy a fun drink with an umbrella...:goodvibes

I would definitely try to go on the 10th. I went a couple of weeks ago and was told they were only open fri-sun. I don't know if it was because it was a slow time (off peak) or what. But check at guest services when you're there, and they can tell you!

The Cove Bar is open during the entire Food and Wine Festival - going on now, as they have special Festival Food items.

Be warned - it was crowded last weekend and they only had one waitress for the entire table seating area - and there are about 20 tables total.:scared1:

We spent 2 hours there, having lunch. Not good - we felt really sorry for the gal, as she had to bus them, too.

BTW - the Festival Slider Plate is NOT worth $14...... The average price per appetizer is $10.50.
