Anyone know what the typical wait is for the Cove Bar on a Monday evening? I'll be in so cal for work for a few days and was going to pop by after flying in, hopefully getting there around 5, to try the lobster nachos and do a few rides. I know there is usually a wait but the pics of the line from the micechat update have me worried, as I would rather not spend all of my time there waiting to get in.

I've heard it can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 45 or longer - especially when WOC is showing as people like to camp those spots.

My honest feedback on Cove Bar is to time it when it opens and even then a line forms. However given your information it appears that won't be an option this time around.
I'd prepare for the worst hope for the best!

How bad a wait is it no a slower day in the middle of the week for lunch?

I've never seen it slow. It used to be relatively slow but word has gotten out about this place. Honestly my advice is always get in line by 11am ( think it opens by 11:30 ?) and sit at the bar if able.
It's pretty much a must do every trip but we always go at opening and there is always a line.

We couldn't even get in on our trip the end of September. Every time we tried the line was 30-45 minutes. We even came at opening once and it already had a huge line. We just went over to Carthay Circle and I had a Pimm's Punch, yummy! We do like the outdoor seating at the Cove so we were very disappointed not to have been able to go. Still haven't tried the lobster nachos yet!
