I have heard kids can eat at these locations if we stick to tables and not the bar. Is this true? The menus look really interesting, and Uva looks like a half decent (affordable) dinner option in DownTown Disney.

Uva Bar is totally kid friendly. They have GREAT kids meals. Cove Bar is definitely going to welcome kids, but the food items are not really kid friendly and there aren't really any special drinks that are non alcoholic. Cove Bar is truly a bar. They tend to kind of pressure you to either keep ordering drinks or finish up quickly and leave. Uva Bar is a full service restaurant as well as a bar so it's much more relaxed.

I don't know if I agree 100%. We've never felt rushed and DD loves the drink that comes with cotton candy. I'm really glad to hear that Uva is kid friendly as we've walked past several times but have always felt it wasn't a good fit for us. It looked a bit trendy and 'grown up'. After hearing your recommendations and reading the menu we might check it out. Thank you!

I think both are 100% kid friendly. My son loves Cove Bar. They will make a plain flatbread pizza if you request (no idea what their menu will be when they transition to Lamplight Lounge). He also loves the cotton candy lemonade there.

Yeah, they do have that cotton candy lemonade but that's it. My kids don't like lemonade so there was nothing else to choose from and they just had water.

I have been there a ton of times and we have been rushed every time. It's done in a subtle, friendly way, but it is definitely how they operate. They want a quick turnover for obvious resaons.
