DCuzs & their 5 year old son are going to Disney in December! Today I was able to get them 4 nights, AKV, Jambo, savannah view studio. :goodvibesDCuz was only recently able to secure the week in December off & there are relatives they will visit for the rest of the week. Adults have been to Disney 25 years ago, stayed off site.

I have sent a letter to them telling them about:

ME and how I can arrange it.
DDP, since in studio, and mentioned Mara.
Pool at Kidani, and how to get there.
Timeshare things like no daily cleaning, but will get clean towels on Wednesday.
There are pool towels.
There is a laundry room on 5th floor, and that they will be on 5th floor.
Bus transportation and order of stops. Do not get off at Kidani after a park unless you want to.
You enter Jambo on the 3rd level. Pool and Mara and restaurants on 1st level.
Link to Undercover Tourist for tickets.

I think that's all I told them so far. It seems like a lot, but I think first time visitors, which in many ways they are, need to be prepared. We actually will overlap, they will see our DGC's family on the DGC's check out day,but we will be in VWL.

What else should I tell them about ? The youngster is quite shy. I am not pushing character meals, but do think Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch may be fun to watch, even if not participating. What are your experiences with shy children & characters, best to just avoid meals?

Thanks.

Bobbi

There is a shuttle bus that goes between Jambo and Kidani if they want to take the children over to the Kidani pool.

There is animal night viewing (not sure if its free).

Did you mention the work out center?

Movies at night?

ADRs if they are doing any table service meals. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party. Candlelight Processional.

There are daily cultural activities in the lobby, including some child-oriented ones...especially the crayon rubbing on the floor medalions.

Christmas decorations will be in the lobby's! If the do Poly breakfast, they might also want to see the gingerbread house in the GF.

Yes, great ideas! I wouldn't miss seeing the Gingerbread House. Didn't know about the children's activities in the lobby. I thought they would have to go to Kidani for some. I think they will enjoy the night vision.

I just sent them a link to the Disboards descriptions of Holidays in the World.

Thanks!
