The pool at the Courtyard is nicer and larger than that at Springhill Suites. However, the pool at Springhill Suites is nice. My one criticism of Springhill Suites after spending a couple of nights there recently is that it is starting to show some wear, although it is only a couple of years old. For example, at check-in, which was late, around 10:30 pm, we were given a room way in the back on the fifth floor that had a broken closet door--it had been removed and was leaning against the A/C unit--drapery that was falling off the hook, and faced I-4. I am guessing because of the time we checked in that this was the only nonsmoking room available. However, I called down to the front desk and politely stated the room was not acceptable due to broken items. We were promptly assigned to a room on the first floor that was absolutely fine. I noted that the trim on the ottoman in front the easy chair was starting to fray. Other than that, the room was very clean with no other broken parts.
Apart from a breakfast buffet on weekends and the pool bar, there is no food service at the Courtyard. There is a food court/convenience store next to the other hotel on the property--Fairfield Inn. However, you are close to all sorts of restaurants--many within walking distances such as Bahama Breeze, Lonestar, Landry's Seafood, Golden Corral.
