Courtyard Marriott Village @ Lake Buena Vista

Has anyone stayed at this Courtyard Marriott? What did you think and how was the pool?

WE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL LAST MAY FOR 7 NIGHTS AND REALLY LIKED IT. NEW COMPLEX-OPENED IN OCTOBER 2000. IN THE COMPLEX THERE ARE 3 HOTELS WITH GATED SECURITY. THE COURTYARD WAS THE NICEST POOL AREA. WE HAD A 3 YEAR OLD WITH US WHO LOVED IT! IT IS HALF INSIDE AND HALF OUTSIDE WITH A WATERFALL SEPARATING THE TWO AREAS. IT IS ZERO ENTRY WITH FOUNTIANS ON THE OUTSIDE. THERE IS ALSO A SEPARATE FOUNTAIN AREA FOR THE KIDS (NOTHING FANCY, JUST A SMALL AREA WHERE WATER SHOOTS UP AND GETS THEM WET. A HOTTUB INSIDE AND ONE OUTSIDE. CONSTANT MUSIC IN OUTDOOR POOL AREA.

WHAT WE ENJOYED MOST ABOUT THIS HOTEL WAS THAT IT WAS NOT REALLY BUSY. FELT GOOD TO GET AWAY FROM CROWDS IN THE EVENINGS AND SPEND SOME QUIET TIME. THE ROOMS WERE REALLY NICE AS WELL. WE HAD A KING BED THAT OVERLOOKED THE POOL AREA WITH A SMALL BALCONY. THERE WAS A SMALL REFRIGERATOR, A LOVESEAT, A MATCHING CHAIR, COFFEE TABLE AND END TABLES AS WELL AS A DESK AND CHAIR. FREE IN-ROOM COFFEE...EVERYTHING WAS NEW AND CLEAN.

THE FAIRFIELD HAS A SMALL FOOD COURT THAT HAD TABLES OUTSIDE-REALLY SHORT WALK AND NICE TO SATISFY THE "MUNCHIES". WE USED THE BUS TO DISNEY ONE DAY AND IT WORKED OUT WELL. BRAND NEW BUSSES WITH DISNEY VIDEO PLAYING ALL THE TIME. RIGHT ON TIME AND FRIENDLY DRIVERS. THE SCHEDULE IS A BIT LIMITED IN THE MORNING AND ALSO LIMITED TO DOWNTOWN DISNEY, BUT ACCEPTABLE.

This is a great hotel complex! It is in a great location and we loved staying here. As previously mentioned, it is fairly new, so it is in great shape as well. The Premium Outlet Mall is down the road, and you can see the Downtown Disney hotels across the street. We would have stayed there again this summer, but we decided to stay on Disney property since we are leaving for our cruise right after our resort stay. Have a wonderful time!

We also enjoyed this hotel very much. The room has queen sized beds and is very spacious. The bathroom area is huge with the sink outside. My kids loved the pool and they didn't want to leave. Since it was pretty cold when we were there - it was nice to have the indoor pool. The hotel was very convenient to everything. The washers in the laundry room also have a free soap dispenser which I thought was great.

The foodcourt was okay - only ordered pizza and wings one night. I could not believe how close this place was to DD and lots of restaurants and shopping.
