Courtyard by Marriott Themepark or DL Hotel

We currently have a theme park view room booked at Courtyard by Marriott theme park February 11-14. With the current specials, the Disneyland Hotel is $270 more for a standard view. We will be there for 2.5 days- Sunday, Monday Tuesday leaving early Wednesday. Our kids are ages 6.5 and 2. Are the advantages of staying at the Disneyland Hotel worth the extra $270 and the standard view? We are first timers.

For me, it is only worth the price difference if I am going to use the early entry to the parks. You can get a lot done in that first hour (at least at DCA). If I were not going to use the early entry, it would not be worth paying more for me. Everything ends up costing more there - parking, coffee, etc.

Thank you. We are driving in from corona on Sunday morning and I’m not even sure we’d make the early hour that day because we’ll need to stop in and say goodbye to my husband’s grandmother, which is why we are going to California. However I bet the kids are up at 5 because they’ll be on CST time and she’s 94 and up early.

I need to just look at the schedule and plan out our days. I’m guessing we would make the hour at least on Monday and Tuesday.

It has been a while since we have been, but we have always stayed on property, our kids were young and with the 1 hour time change we were always up early anyways so we have always made sure to use the extra hour when available, we have never made it to park close tho!

I’d probably cough up the extra because it may be possible it will be busier 2/14.
