Can anyone tell me about this hotel? I just received it from priceline with a $35 a night bid.
What are the pool areas like? Is the hotel itself clean and in good shape? Thanks for your help.

That Courtyard in Disney Village is a nice hotel, very clean and very quiet..we enjoyed our stay there in December. The staff is friendly and very courteous and we had not problems at all..it was too cold to swim, but they have a decent size pool area and patio that looked nice to swim in and I believe they had a kiddie pool and a good size hot tub out there...We were impressed by them, and you do get to use EE and E nights as they are a Disney Village hotel..hope this helps some.

We stayed there last June and loved it. The rooms are large. We had two queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa....very roomy bathroom, nice patio. We stayed in the main area, but I think next time we will opt to stay in one of the annex buildings because the pool area is more accessible. The bus transportaion system to the parks that the hotel provides is very good. They were always on time and the Courtyard was the first stop for the bus going to the parks so there was always a seat. They are about the 3rd stop returning from the parks.
You can join Marriott Rewards by going to the Marriott web site. The hotel has a special check in area for Rewards members, which bypasses the lines at the regular desk.....big plus during busy times. We bought our e night passes at the hotel gift shop. The breakfast buffet was good and reasonably priced. The laundry facilities were not working, which was difficult for us because we were staying over a week and needed to do laundry, but that may be fixed by now. You got a great price. Have a wonderful time.

Mouser, Thanks so much for your reply. I think we will enjoy our stay here.

Hi Chris, Thanks for your help! Was your room a standard room or a suite? It sounds great! What is the annex area? Is this the towers that face downtown disney? I did sign up for Marriott Rewards program. That was very easy. Will the Marriott Rewards membership make it easier to get the room of our choice? Thanks again for your reply. Lilly

The Laundry faciilites were fine when we were there in December..unsure how many they had but there was a washer and dryer at the end of our floor. Hope this helps some as laundry is a necessity for us also, we are staying there a week later on this year.... :) :) :)

We stayed in a standard room in the main tower. Our room faced downtown disney. We were on the 8th floor....the view was nice from the balcony, but if I had young children it would make me a little nervous....my kids are older so it wasn't a problem. The annex is an L shaped addition to the main building. I seem to remember them saying the tower rooms are a bit larger. Our room was very large for a standard hotel room. I think they said the annex is newer. It is closer to the pool and hot tub and makes it easier getting to the lobby....no elevator to contend with. I am glad to hear the laundry facilities are back in working order. All the machines were down, something to do with the laundry rooms requiring a redo because of fire codes. The Rewards membership provides (at least when we were there) easy checkin. There is a special check in desk for rewards members. When we arrived there was a very long line at check in....it was so nice to just go the rewards desk and have everything taken care of. They even called us a few times during the week to make sure we were happy. Everything is ready and waiting for you when you get there. Be sure they know ahead of time at the hotel that you are a rewards member so they can set that up. We always talked with a lady named Ginny in reservations at the hotel and she was great. She answered all our ? and had everything set up perfectly for us. The hotel has a #800 directly to the DD courtyard. You can email me with any other ? I have a hint for you for RFC.

I am so excited to have gotten this hotel!!! Are the pools kid friendly? I mean can you bring floats into the pool? Also my husband will be in a ECV (electric convience vechile)- I know that you can walk to DD, Are there ramps so he can drive his scooter to DD? Thanks!!! :D

My sister stayed there in March and was whelmed.

She wanted room service one evening and called and called and called and no one every picked up. That was annoying. Likewise, she had people calling the hotel, trying to reach her, and the phone rang forever before anyone picked up. Weird.

But it's a great value, and a great location.

We also had a problem with room service while we were there, but it only happened once and it was late at night. Never had a problem not getting phone calls to our room.
The pool is kid friendly. They have a smaller pool, not a kiddie pool that most of the little ones were in with their parents and the larger pool seemed to be used more by adults and older/teen ages, but anyone could use either pool. There were floats, balls and the kids seemed to be having a good time.
I remember seeing a sidewalk on the way to DD. The hotel has a great shuttle service to the parks and to DD. You might want to call a head and advise them you require a wheelchair accessible van/bus. They were very accomodating and always on time.
What did you bid 2* 3* for the courtyard??

Hi Chris, I was going email you but I could not find your email address. It doesn't seem to be in your user profile. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I would love to have a hint about RFC! The first hint I need to know is: What does RFC stand for? LOL. Thanks! Laurie

Be sure to check w/ Guest Services. The very nice lady gave us a card that saved us 20% at House of Blues and I noticed they had other offers on the desk. ;)

Chris-
I bid on a 3* in WDW area. I had checked on travelSheryl's Priceline Forum and knew of some people who had gottem the Courtyard WDW for $18( one was my sister). So I tried it!! I am still shocked (and overwhelmingly happy). :D :D :D

Thanks for your replys!
