We were there the end of August. The first night there, which happened to be a Saturday, the shuttle did not show up at MK untill an hour after the park closed. People were very tired and irate, especially after seeing one Disney bus after another pull in and out. Our first room was in the tower (12th floor), the wall paper was peeling, extension cords were all over the place (seemed to be a lack of outlets?) and the balcony was enclosed so you had to stand if you wanted to see the view of downtown disney. We ended up moving to a garden room with a railing balcony. We traded our view for a pool view, but the room seemed to be in much better shape. The very loooooong hallway to our new room was musty smelling and the carpet was stained. We did not like the fact that the pools closed at 11:00, especially in August when it is sooooo hot out! After staying at Disney Hotels, we found the Marriott to be NOT worth the discounted price of $20. Just our opinion, but I would rather spend the money and stay at a Disney Hotel, where the rooms are nicer, most pools are open all night, and you can't beat the Disney transportation.
