Here is a link to the federal court of appeals decision holding that "Stan Lee Media" (a company no longer associated with Stan Lee) has no valid intellectual property claim to Marvel Characters.

The decision turns more on the civil procedure principle that you can't sue for the same thing more than once than on the question of who owns the Marvel characters but the fundamental point is that prior courts have determined that "Stan Lee Media" had no claim to the characters Stan Lee created and this court is not going to relitigate that question.
