I got my coupons in the mail - thank you!!!

Does anyone have any tips for someone new to couponing? It so tough to organize and keep track..... I have recently become a single mom with 2 children and 1 income so I need to cut way back on things.

There are some decent sites (coupons.com, smartsource.com, catalina) that allows you to print coupons at home. I use mypoints.com and print through there for extra points.

I only had one insert in today's paper, but I sent a small envie out to Mary on Friday, and I have another small one ready for tomorrow.

Well - I ventured out today and started with a free 60 day membership to BJs, free napkins and Ziploc bags. Also a few discounted Disney gift cards to use on our trip.

Then off to Shop-rite which had some good deals and I had my coupons in hand Only problem is they couldn't scan the coupons I printed from coupons.com so they didn't take those... Has that happened to anyone else???

Yes, go to the dollar store and get a little accordion file folder. They also have them at office depot or walmart. They have small ones that fit in your purse. I cut my coupons, put those I will use into my little holder. (I have a file for pets, meds, cereal, fresh foods, frozen foods, cleaners, toiletries, canned goods, boxed goods, beverages...) For me, the biggest part about it all is the organization. I make a weekly menu first, then write my list of items I need from the store, then go to my accordion file and see if I have coupons for any items I am going out for.

Sometimes those tend to give the cashiers troubles but I have never had a cashier not take them.
