I got my envie ready. Wow I had a lot more coupons than I thought. Some expire soon, but I figured if they next person on the list could use them, I hated to throw them away. I have a question. For those of you that had a lot of coupons, are you sending 50 and then saving the rest to replace? I'm just scared that I may not have the right types to replace what I take.

Actually I put more than 50 coupons (70 give or take) in my envie. I did keep some back for replacements. As replacements go...we won't be huge sticklers at the beginning. If everyone tries their best to replace with similar coupons it should be fine. Also remember, we should all still be hitting the circulars and such for coupons each week to replentish our envies.
As far as expiration dates, I ask that you do not put in coupons that expire within 2 weeks time because some of our envies are crossing the country and they may take awhile to be received. If you have soon to be expiring coupons u don't want to waste & take a chance sending, you may put them in but only as "extras" not replacements or part of the original 50. I know I am only 30 minutes south of New Orleans and our mail is still greatly affected by the hurricane, as we only have 2 functioning post offices up and running. And all mail goes through N.O.
As an update we are up to 14 riders as of 8/3/06! So that is great. Thanks again everyone for joining!

This way I can monitor approximately how long our envies take to come/go & adjust accordingly.

*Note* Remember to send envies out within 3 to 4 days.

Yes we ALWAYS send to the same person. (at least for now) You technically receive from the same person too, but the envie you receive will always be different. Eventually I may change the order.
This train functions like a huge circle or loop. Essentially passing an envie from person to person (down the line so to speak), or in this case 14 envies. Each week you should receive an envie but as the train moves, it will always be another riders envie you get. That is why it is so important to follow the rules and replace coupons each week. It keeps the envies usable for the next rider. I hope I explained this well. Thanks for the questions...keep'm coming.
