Sorry about posting so late the last little while, but we are under the new teacher evaluation system and it has been Professional Development and more extra paper work than you would ever imagine. If anyone is interested read the NY Times front page from yesterday. 11/8. It is insanity. I have hardly had time to say hello to my DH lately much less anything else.

I am more than happy to say we are just slightly over a month from a long weekend with Mickey for a Christmas visit. I have only 1/2 way joked that I may not come back. If they would offer me a job working one of the Kidcot or one of the AK learning stations I'd stay.

For those of you who remember a few years ago when we went to WDW and were fortunate to have a savannah view at AKL and DH decided that we should bring an okapi home as a pet (we didn't but he wanted one for a LONG time there after), he is so super excited to be going back now because
of this

I have to say the baby is too cute. BUT now it will be months again of him trying to convince me that a nearly threatened animal would be a great pet for our .25 acre yard and that the neighbors would never notice. Not to mention we are not anywhere near its natural climate. Boys and there toys (or pets). His mom said he always tried to convince her that they should keep every random animal that made its way onto their property too.

I hope to be back on sooner than later. Have a great rest of the week.

Don't let school stuff eat you up! I'm active in our association and I've been going teacher to teacher this week reminding them they aren't required to stay for certain things and are allowed a plan time. I think guilt (and paperwork and deadlines!)gets to folks. I know there's a lot to do, but please take time for yourself.

Has it really been years since the okapi pic? Man, time flies!!
