I have begun teaching DD8 why I use coupons and sales. It works showing her the receipt of how much something would have cost and what I actually pay. I let her do the deal at Walgreens this week of buying a box of crayons for $1 and then getting a $1 coupon back. She is beginning to understand.

So smart to do this! My mom never used coupons so I didn't learn how until I was a married adult. I'm trying to teach my daughter too (7 y.o.)
