Coupon Train ~~ New Riders Welcome!

Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Jacobsmommy-I got your envie today. Thank you. I have to get to the post office cuz I have a huge envie to mail out.

I just have to brag about my shopping yesterday.

First I went to Target. I needed a baby gift and had coupons for diapers and wipes, doubled them with Target coupons. Bought Christmas stuff at 75% off and a few other things. Everything I bought was either on sale or I had double coupons for it. To top it off, I had two GC received from previous purchases. I spent $24.23 and saved $66.48.

Then I stopped at Winn Dixie, who has some awesome deals right now.
First deal: you buy two Tombstone pizzas for $11.58 and you get Breyers ice cream, 2lt coke, WD garlic sticks and Farm Rich Mozzerella sticks for free.
Second deal: Purchase 5 P&G products and get $5 off total. You can do two of the P&G deals at one time. I purchased 10 P&G items, all items were on sale and I had eight $1 coupons and two $3 coupons. I spent $41.82 and saved $55.79. The only thing I paid full price for was the pizzas. I thought I had coupons for them, but most have sent them on as I don't normally buy this brand.

I love my coupons and my coupon train.

:banana:Happy New Year everyone!

I only made it 'till 10:45 last nite...how about all of you?

:surfweb:

10:45? :rolleyes1 You're a night owl compared to me....I said goodnight to DH and the real shipoo at 10:20! :lmao: I have always been a morning person and am usually up by 4:30-5 every morning. Kinda loony, eh? :upsidedow

What's everyone doing today? I'm getting all my Christmas stuff put away. Company coming tomorrow and Sunday. Organizing cupboards, drawers, being a real Tidy Talulah! The sun is shining so brightly but it's about 2:cold::cold::cold: degrees outside. Brrrrrrr!!!!! :cold::cold::cold::cold::cold:

Took me five stores to find a coupon organizer! finally found one at the Dollar Tree store. Im ready!

I made it to about 12:30 (had to stay up with the 3 teenagers:rotfl:)

Happy New Year All!!

:yay::yay::yay: Yes, an organizer of some type is a must for a serious couponer! :thumbsup2 You're off to a great start!

One of my New Year's resolutions is to file and organize my coupons each week rather than letting them pile up for a couple weeks and then trying to scramble to dig through the pile and find what I need when I've looked through Sunday's ads.

Okay, break time is over and now I need to get back to my dusting. Is there a household chore that is any more aggravating than dusting? :sad2: All the (real) ShiPoo has to do is run through the house and hop up on "his" chair and there's dust on everything again.

I was "officially" up until about 12:30. DD thought she was a big girl and wanted to stay up until midnight and since her daddy said she could, we were both up. UGH!! Then the fun began....she went to bed with no problems but was up within 20 minutes crying (never figured out why), DH got her back to sleep and 30 minutes later she was roaming around downstairs in the kitchen crying. That is where DH found her, again never figured out why. So, since I use a cpap and can't really sleep in her bed, DH crawled into bed with her for about an hour to make sure she didn't roam again. It was crazy!!!

Tonight, she went to bed around 8:30 and finally fell asleep around 9...so far no getting out of bed. :thumbsup2

Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight! My DD12 does the crying and roaming the house thing if she is over tired. I put her to bed and an hour later I hear her get up and walk into the living room, and I get down there to find her sitting on the couch sobbing. I put her back to bed and she never has any recollection of it happening the next morning. Go figure.

Welcome to the train NUHUSKIES!

I was up until about 2:00am. Neighbors behind us always have really large and loud fireworks. Roo:dog: can't stand them so I have to sit up with her until the fireworks are over. Thankfully it is only twice a year.

I walked 8.7 miles this morning and it was windy and cold. Then went to a friend's for lunch. Watched a little tv. Worked at the dance studio for a while, ran a couple errands. Went to another friend's for dinner, then home to straighten up the pantry, do laundry and clip coupons. I am going to have a very large envie (maybe two) for Sleepy soon. I worked on coupons for two hours tonight and am not near done.

Poor Roo! :sad1: We once had a :dog: who suffered from seizures due to fireworks. July 4th was a nightmare for her but she also would have them if she heard fireworks on TV like during halftime shows. It was horrible for her and us. That was really kind of you to sit up with her.

You are to be commended for walking 8.7 miles in the wind and cold! That's another one of my New Year's resolutions....to get back to my pool aerobics routine which I used to do faithfully every day. (Then I got lazzzzzy.)

Do you have a dance studio?

Lunch at a friend's and then dinner at a friend's~~way to go, Eyor! No cooking! :cool1:

My boys are both young men now but if I remember right, I think it was all about getting out of their routine and being overtired when things like this happened to them. Glad to hear she went to bed early last night and that meant Mom and Dad slept better too! :thumbsup2

Has anyone bought the weekend edition of the paper yet? Just wondering if there were really five inserts in it? I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed!:woohoo:

I received an envelope today from Schmedly55. Thank you!

I have done terrible with my coupon shopping during the last month or so. I really haven't grocery shopped at all since Thanksgiving. We ate out of the pantry and freezer for the first couple weeks in December and then I used the grocery savings to buy a ton of stuff to host 3 parties over the Holidays. I am SOOOO looking forward to getting back into my "normal" routine of grocery shopping and coupon savings but, of course, now my coupons need DESPERATE help as they are all expired and unorganized :scared1:

I know what I'll be spending the day tomorrow doing!

Just wanted to confirm that there were five inserts in my Sunday paper this morning! :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2: :yay: :thumbsup2

Hope yours has the same!

DD hasn't roamed the house since New Year's eve. I am hoping it was just a matter of being overly tired, out of her routine, etc.

Tomorow should be fun, I go back to work, after being off for a week, and she is back at daycare....pretty sure neither one of us is going to want to get up early. :rotfl:

BTW, I had 5 inserts as well but 2 of them were really really thin....oh well, thin is better than not getting them, right? ;)
