If you sign up for Skyauction through this link, you get $25 off your first auction if won by the end of August.
http://www.skyauction.com/brand/smarterliving/jsp/home.jsp

I was already a member but signed up through DH's name and got $25 off the auction I won last night for 2 weeks in Orlando.

I won 2 ready set go auctions for 2 weeks in December...I can't wait and getting $25 off was a great bonus.

Have Fun bidding...

Thank you for posting this info...sure wish I was bidding now and could take advantage of it! :( Actually, I wish I was bidding now because that would mean there's a planned trip in our future...and there isn't...yet...:smooth:

Good luck to all bidders!

A few questions though.

With the $25 bonus thing. I want to do that for my friends who have never won an auction. I went to the link, put in their user/password (she gave it to me because she wants me to do the bidding........she's a little nervous ;) ) and it just takes me to the home page.

Where do you put the promotion code in?? Or When?? I don't see a place for it on the bid page of the auction.

AND.........Where are you staying?? When?? That is so exciting. Congratulations girl!!!!!:sunny:

It only works for first timers who register through the site...I was already a member and had to sign up under a new email addy and my married name through this site to get the $25...Just sign her up under a different email and user name and it should work.

Darn! A week too late for me! I won on Skyauction for the first time last week! Story of my life:(

Not really:teeth: I still got a good deal.:D

But, thanks anyway:wave:

We are staying at Vacation Village Parkway from the 3rd to the 17th of December. We had problems here last time with the "Manager" but not with the property.

We decided to try it again because we have a friend coming the 1st week and she will use the one lock-off and we thought we would see if another couple from the DIS would like to share costs for the second week.

We have not found anyone going the week of the10th but hope that we can help a couple out...Wish we would have know about skyauction on our first trip as it is cheaper than a bad motel...

Can you check in a day or two later on a skyauction property? I can't find airfare to match the check in dates for the property I'm looking at.

No...they usually have Fri, Sat and Sun check ins...Sorry.

Maybe you could stay in a motel then switch to the property of your choice. We did this on our last stay.

Okay, thanks for the information. I guess I will have to make another plan. I really would like to try one of these properties, especially with the $25 off!

sweet maxine: you may want to call or email skyauction and ask them specifically if you can check in late. my sister won a 7-day auction with a friday check-in but she couldn't get there until saturday. they said it was fine as long as she called the property directly and let them know. they don't move your dates, you end up getting 6 nights instead of 7, but in her case it was still worth it to stay in a great place for a great price. Good luck!

lorilori is right...I'm sorry. I missread the post. I thought sweet maxine was asking about EARLY check in...Time for new glasses.

I moved my dates and paid about $30 more so that I could stay for 2 more days. I hope all of this works out. Does the Summer Bay have all the water play area for the kids, or is another place better (on skyauction)?

Samantha what does "ready set go" mean?

I signed up just for the fun of it and have started to look around and learn.:D

There are certain auctions that are listed as ready set go (Title)

They offer a chance to look at weeks avaialble everywhere. You have to go into one of the auctions and punch in the dates you are looking for and where...It gives you a list of what is availble. We wanted Orange Lake but since it was not available we chose Vacation Village Parkway.

Heere is one that finishes tomorrow at 11 pm (link won't work after that) http://www.skyauction.com/action/offer?OFFER_ID=873961

These usually go for anywhere from $40 to $75 but I have seen higher...

Here is my bidding explanation from a previous thread... When you bid on a week, there is usually a fee for cleaning and taxes that is $195, and a $15 skyauction fee and your bid...

Our bid was $195 + $15 + our bid of $55=$265 US per week taxes and all fees included for a huge 2 bedroom condo. No timeshare presentation required...Gotta love it.

Just remember...There is no refund, so bid wisely.

If this does not answer all your questions, please ask some more...I love this stuff:tongue:
