I received my envies last week and mailed out my envies today. Sorry for the delay. Just trying to get adjusted to a having the baby. It's been a crazy ride so far. Every night so far she will only sleep for more than 15 min if being held. any advice? Sorry to hijack the thread but I know that there is tons of motherly advice to be had. We've tried swaddling, not swaddling, co sleeper in the bed, bassinet next to bed. Usually I end up on the couch with her sleeping on my chest.

Sleeping at night can be tricky, have you tried feeding her right before you want her to sleep? Rocking her, my DD loved that. Good luck and again congrats.

I wish I could give you some great advice but we adopted our two boys at age 3 and 4 and they weren't having issues with sleeping.

Hoping you'll get some good advice from someone because you need some shut eye!

namsupak - Welcome to Lorelei! My DD was almost the same weight and height as yours! We had lots of sleep issues in the beginning - DD slept in her bucket car seat on the floor next to our bed for the first month. It took her a while to be okay with sleeping on a flat open surface (i.e. her crib). I also recommend the book Happiest Baby on the Block (if you think colic is going to be an issue).

All, I just had to share my fantastic trip made possible in part by the great coupons I have received on this train. I went to Giant (the only store in town that doubles up to $1) on Tuesday. My total before coupons and bonus card savings was $41.24; my total afterward was $15.41! That's a savings of 63%!
