On a separate note...Just got a text from DH...and he and the rest of the guys all passed their FF tests!!!!! So testing is done and they all graduate/walk tomorrow.

This has been the longest 10 months of our lives and DH certainly had his share of rollercoasters where he didn't think he would get through the EMT portion or the fire acedemy. But all our prayers have been answered and I get to pin him tomorrow evening.

How wonderful!!!!! Happy Dance!


DH is a volunteer firefighter and just completed the EMT training a few months ago.

DS just joined last month as a cadet and Tuesday went to his first fire. Since he is not old enough to have a paying job and too old for day camps, he is going to be working 2-3 days a week with our one paid fire fighter learning all he can. He was so excited and told me in detail all about the fire and how he was taught to use the hose. He just turned 14 and has been waiting for this day since he was two.

Aww...I got tears about your DS beginning to live his dream . He had the graduation last night and altho didn't get his favorite station, is so happy. I don't think I've seen him smile so much since our wedding . That EMS/EMT training is tough stuff! Give your DH a hug or his volunteerism.

What a great experience for your DS! My dad was a volunteer fireman when we lived in Iowa when I was a baby.
