Scrappinmom I sent out your envelope today. Sorry about last weeks delay. My mom sent it out Thursday but I was returned on Friday as the stamp fell off :confused3 . So it was resent on Saturday.

Up for grabs:

I have 2 $5 off of $25 purchase to Build a Bear Workshop. They can not be combined.

I also have a bunch of Huggies coupons (both diapers and Good Nights...sorry no pull-ups DD uses those).

Rather than send them along the train I thought that I would put these up for grabs as they expire soon. Just post here if you are interested.

My envelope to Velrox is on the way today. I am sorry I totally forgot to drop it in yesterday. Could be because its thin.:guilty:

Pumpkinfish...I sent your envie out today..hopefully you will get if b4 Thanksgiving and can use it for some BF specials....:thumbsup2

That would be wonderful :) I'll even be near a CVS as we are heading to NY to visit DH's family :) :goodvibes

Yesterday one of our riders posted on someone else's train and someone from another train posted on our train. :upsidedow No big deal really but I just wanted to remind everyone there are three coupon trains on the budget board right now so it can get confusing as to which is which and where to post. Just please be sure to find the one that is titled Coupon Exchange Train~~New Riders Welcome! or look for my name ShiPooOwner under the title of the thread. When we are looking for a posting from our sender or receiver, confusion can result if the posting is on a different train. So my dear riders, please make sure you're on the right train track. :dance3: Thank you and have a tremendous Tuesday! :)

Let's do a little informal Thanksgiving poll for our riders who want to participate.

Are you

A. Hosting Thanksgiving at your house
B. Going to family or friends' house for Thanksgiving
C. Going to a restaurant for Thanksgiving
D. Other?

I'll start. For the first time in many years, we aren't traveling to So. WI to my DBIL and DSIL's house. They had it EARLY  last weekend and we were tied up that weekend so couldn't go. :sad1: This year since it's just my DH and me, we're heading to a restaurant at 12:30 (early but only time open since I made the ressie late) and then to a movie. We've done that only once before and I wasn't too impressed, but it's time to give it another shot, right? Anybody see a good movie lately? Any recommendations?

Who's next up?

B. and I am REALLY excited about it! It was a last minute (within last 2 weeks) decision because DH found out he would have the time off from school. So we get to go spend Thanksgiving with his family in NY (haven't done that for 5 years). I am so eager to have an italian turkey day :) Although this will be the first in 8 yrs that I haven't made green bean casserole :(

I am doing both A & B. We host brunch at our house in the morning and then go to in-laws house for dinner. I have hosted brunch for 9 years and the list of people that come is growing every year. I have 28 people coming this year. Our family and friends love it. They come to our house around 10 leave by 1, go home take a nap, and then we meet back at my in-laws around 4.

A. We're not going anywhere this year. For the last 4 years we have hosted it at our house, but since moving to the opposite side of the country than our family there will be no large family gathering. Instead it'll just be Dh, myself, our 2 DD, and my parents. The same deal will occur at X-mas. My brother and his family were going to come out east but due to the cost of airfare it's a no-go. On theplus side, it means there'll be no family drama :cool1:

A. - I am cooking dinner at my house. There are only 6 of us so it should be easy! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

A I am hosting Thanksgiving for both sides of my family this year for the first time! :scared1: Thank God my mama will be here to help me cook. We eat lunch at 12:00 with my moms family and then at 6:00 we do it all again for my dads side of the family. My DH only has his mom and stepfather and they are not able to do the drive here. They will be eating with Stepfathers family. It should be a busy day:)

Okay Pumpkinfish, we need to do a little 'splainen please. ;) The expression Italian turkey day is new to me. Special foods or just a lot of Italian heritage at the table? Or ???

So far it's mostly A's so I know you train riders are going to be very busy in the next few days!

ROFL! I laugh out loud because it isn't the typical thanksgiving I am/was used to growing up! Let's just say he comes from a very boisterous italian family. During my first Thanksgiving with him, there were bad words used at their table that I had never heard of befroe (and most from his cousins). :scared1: It was so funny because I just kept looking over to DH (I come from a proper-mannered Christian family) with these bug-eyes. :goodvibes The first Thanksgiving was when we were still dating and was only the 2nd time I had met them ;)
Flash forward to 1 year later when my sis comes up to visit us for Thaksgiving (DH and I had just married a few months prior and moved to NY and lived on the same street as DH's family...aka I was used to them by then ;) ). Anyways, my sis comes to visit and in the middle of the Thanksgiving meal I look over at her and her poor eyes were bugged out! lol
Anyways, that's italian Thanksgiving to me. As far as foods...YUM! Stuffed mushrooms w/sausage; pastas I can't even pronounce; 2 types of lasagna; wine flowing from every corner; great discussions! Now the cousins are grown up (a lot changes in 9 years since that first meal ;) ) and bringing their boyfriend/girlfriends/fiancee around. Needless to say, if you can't tell...I am really excited!!!

A and C. My family is coming to visit, but we're all going out to eat since they won't arrive until mid morning on Thanksgiving and I have a serious gag reflex when it comes to birds with bones and my mom didn't really want to come early so she could cook a turkey. So, we're headed to a buffet at a hotel inside Zion National Park at 4, and I think everyone is excited. We'll have pies and a large assortment of junk food for post coma snacking. So, lucky me, I get to host without any real cooking

Also, I sent off an envelope to Dznybound last evening. Not sure if you got last weeks, so please let me know when this one arrives. Thanks!

Okay, now I get it! :dance3: It sounds like fun and I'll bet the food is scrumptious! Have a GREAT time and enjoy! :yay:  :yay:  (I know you will! I think maybe I need some Italian in-laws!!)

Ooooh, Zion National Park? Loved that place when we visited there years ago~~such beauty! :lovestruc A serious gag reflex had me confused for a minute. Then I realized you meant when getting it ready to cook, right? Not eating it! :rotfl:
Enjoy!

I was referring to preparing it, but actually, I do struggle eating poultry off the bone as well. I'm a boneless kind of girl. Although I can eat ribs. :confused3 It's weird, I know. People have been making fun of me for this for years.

I'm right there with you!!!! My rule is if it has a bone and skin it's not going on my plate. I don't eat ribs or chicken with bones, whihc can be frustrating for people. An old boyfriend of mine, his mom was the same way so she prepared my plate for me when ever they had chicken. This means DH is solely incharge of cooking the bird! :rotfl:

If no one wants the Build a Bear or Huggies coupons (expiring in mid/late December) I'll either send them down the train or post them to the rest of the board.
