After telling my girlfriend about our upcoming trip to Disneyworld, she wants to go too. She will have a 3yo DD (just turnes 3 this month) and she told me she's going to try to sneak her without a ticket when they go in March because she feels that since she will just barely be 3 that she didn't want to have to pay for her ticket.

I told her I wasn't sure if they would ask for her DD's birth certificate to verify (her DD is quite tall for her age too - often mistaken for a 4yo). We are buying a ticket for our 3yo (turned 3 New Year's Eve). I told her too that she may not be able to get on fast pass rides with the rest of the family...but, I'm not sure. What are your thoughts on this?

If my kid looked young enough and it was just a months difference, I might try to not buy her one . But if she looks older ,then I doubt she can do it. But basically she is going to do what she wants. It's hard to say when her b-day is so close. I know some people will disagree and say she MUST have a ticket, but I don't. I wouldn't even worry about it. It's really not going to affect you at all. Her age won't matter on what she gets in or on, it's her height. So that won't matter. If they run into a problem she can buy her ticket there. You are not required a birth certificate, as far as I know, so I don't think they will question her too hard.

I would imagine that if she does get in w/o a ticket, that she will be able to ride the fast pass rides without actually having a fast pass ticket. She would be able to get on with your fast pass tickets, same as a 1 yr old would. I believe Disney's policy is to accept the word of the guest, and I have never heard of anyone having to show a birth certificate to prove age. Be prepared that the CM on duty may ask the child, though, and children are brutally honest. You could always say her birthday is in a few weeks, and she has been practicing!

That was my thought too. If they ask the kid, she may tell them. My parents tried to get me to lie when I was young to get into Bush Gardens free, and I kept telling no thats not my age, so by the time we got to the gate, they didn't even bother with it, because they knew I would tell the truth.
