Are there any restaurants that take ADR's at 180 days, or have they all been changed to 90?

Can you pay your gratuity for a meal (I will be on the DDP) on your key to the world or is a cash gratuity better?

I have Mousekeeping envelopes ready to go and was planning to leave them each AM in the room. Then I read somewhere to tip once you see how the mousekeeper did before you leave the tip. What do you do? I wasn't going to leave the tip at the end of my stay because I thought I may have different mousekeepers each day, so that is why I thought it would be best to leave it each AM.

Thank you so much!

I am curious also about the tipping with the DP....can they run your credit card for just the tip? We never carry much cash while on vacation.

I read a great tip on the Dining Plan Board regarding paying for your tip. If you are travelling with children, use their KTTW cards for the Dining Plan credits, if you don't give them charging privileges on their card. Then give the restaurant your KTTW card or a credit card for the tip after the bill has been taken care of. Folks have reported meals being charged rather than credits taken when one card is given for both meals and tip.

Seems a little cumbersome, but if you prefer to not carry cash, then I think that's the way to go. I thought it was a good idea.

We'll probably do cash tip, but I want to have the option to charge if necessary.

I too make up mousekeeping envelopes for each day. I can't remember if I've left one the first morning each trip, but the mousekeeper did clean it the day before for you to come as the new guests, so I would say to go ahead and leave one on your first morning if you would like too. :)

You may want to ask the housekeeping question on the resort board.

Tipping discussion on the restaurant board is limited to the Tipping Information Thread at
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2056032

If you read the first post of that thread, you will see why no tipping discussion is permitted on the main restaurant or dining plan boards.

Because responses have been given to both questions, rather than moving this thread to the Tipping Information thread I am closing it.
