Couple questions about renting points from DVC owner

Considering renting from DVC owner and have a couple questions, as I am clueless. I understand that the owner rents the room.
Is it similar to other TS, where there is a "guest certificate"?
Could an owner rent me 2 rooms instead of 1 for the same week? For example, rent (2) studios at AKL instead of (1) 2 BR villa. Would the owner have to pay a fee for additional guest certificates?
Do DVC studios/villas, etc have connecting rooms (a door between the 2 rooms). Do all of them?

No certificates. It is points based so the owner can book you whatever rooms are available that meet your needs that fall within the number of points the owner has or is offering to use foe the rental.

Owners can reserve all room types, and if they have the points to do so, and there are rooms, yes, they can reserve two rooms for you.

The only connecting DVC rooms are the studios and 1 bedrooms that create what is called a 2 bedroom lock off.

If you rent two of any other rooms, you can request being close, but that is not guaranteed. Sometimes you could be a few doors down, other times, it could be an entirely different floor. That has happened to me before,

I think that the only place that you can request connecting studios is at the Poly. It is only a request though.

No. Only 2BR labeled "Lockoff" are a studio + 1BR. Some resorts also have dedicated 2BR that cannot be split into separate studio+1BR units.

2-BR lockoff villas are a studio plus 1-BR. Some DVC resorts have dedicated 2-BR villas, where the studio does not have a separate entrance or kitchenette and beds may be different.

Jambo House (AKV) only has lockoff two bedroom villas, no dedicated two bedroom villas. Same with BWV. Kidani Village has both dedicated and lockoff two bedroom villas.
