Does Boardwalk Villas have towels at the pool or do we have to bring ours from home?

Does anyone know if there is a toaster in the studio?

Only 3 more days to Disney :cool1:
Thanks!

Dawna

Hi,
We never bother bringing towels, disney provides. (They weigh too much anyway).
Sadly there is no toaster or kettle. It would also be advisable to bring a bottle/can opener( packed in case of course). We are DVC members and boardwalk is our home resort. I would be intrested in feedback on your trip as we are going early Aug.
Any other questions feel free to ask.
I love boardwalk it is so convienent for both mgm and Epcot and has lots to do in its own right.
I am sure you will have a wonderful holiday
Happy packing !

There are toasters in the studios at the BWV, as well as a corkscrew, can opener (manual), coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator. Towels are available by the pool. Have fun!

Can you elaborate on the "lots to do in its own right?" We are heading down for a park free trip next month......

Sorry for the mis-information, looks like toasters are now available. As for the corkscrew I remember having to buy one. :guilty:
It has been just over 2 yrs since out last visit. :sad2:

As for lots to do, there is a community hall which has activites for kids (we don't have kids so can't tell you exactly what they offer). You can also hire things from there. (not sure whether that is DVC members only?)

The mouse speed boats that you can hire are good fun. (Sorry can't remeber price). At night there are street performers on the prominade. You also have duelling pianos and the dance hall (not sure about up to date entrance fee)
If memory serves me well BW is also close to the crazy mini golf, and other hotels such as swan, dolphin, Y &BC.

Hope that helps

You can also rent a surrey bike to ride around Crescent Lake.

If there is no corkscrew -- Just call Dining and they will bring one to you. While you're at it, request a couple of wine glasses -- as they are not supplied in the room.

Cheers!

We had a corkscrew in our SSR studio last week. We did not have to ask for one. We didn't even use it.

I brought real silverwear (cause I don't much like plastic) and cloth napkins, a microwave little 'skillet', micro egg poacher, a corkscrew. There was a corkscrew already and I think a canopener too. I called mousekeeping and had them bring 3 wine glasses and a 3rd coffee mug. There wre paper towels and dishwasing soap already. Bring your own Starbucks and filters. We had nice breakfasts in the room every day and wine every night!

Just got back from BWV, lots to do:

Go walking on BW
Go swimming at the 3 pools!!
Go to Comm. Hall and rent videos, play games, etc,
Go shopping at All the stores
Play video games at the arcade on the BW
Go to ESPN and watch games, drink a BEER/WINE!!!
Take boat over to Y and Beach Club and go to Beaches/Creams shop!
Walk over and play mini-golf
At night, go to Atlantic Dance-FREE!! (pay for drinks)
Also at night, try your luck at the games-I won the Lobster toss, after only $4!

HTH!!!!

Two of my favorite things to do were mentioned by deerh.

The walk or jog around the Boardwalk at .79 of a mile is great. Especially in the evening after a nice dinner at one of the Boardwalk or BC restaurants. Another fun thing is to walk over to Fantasia Gardens to play miniature golf. Not everyone realizes how close it is by just going over the bridge and cutting through the Swan/Dolphin.

Have fun.
