Couple of TTC questions

DD and I will be staying offsite :guilty: for our January trip- I haven't stayed offsite for quite a few years, so I am a bit unsure of parking (and finding my way around- I am not blessed with a great sense of direction  ). I have a couple of questions regarding the TTC-

Is transportation available to all the parks from the TTC?

Are the hours of the TTC related to the hours of MK, or do they stay open pretty late every night?

I am thinking that I might try to park at the TTC every day, and just hop a bus, monorail, or ferry to the park I want to visit that day. Or should I risk getting lost and just park at each different park's lot?

One more question- we will be doing AK until closing one day, then going over to BW for dinner and evening hanging out. Is there any place to park at or near Boardwalk that is not subject to the 3 hour rule? I definitely don't want to take a space away from a guest of BW, but I don't think we will be able to keep the car at the AK lot- it will close down before we could get back after hanging out at the BW (and I'd really love to just park the car once and leave it until the end of the day).

Any ideas? Thanks!!

From the TTC you have direct links to MK (Monorail or Ferry) and Epcot. For MGM and AK you need to take the Monorail or Ferry to MK and then a bus to MGM or AK. Typically, you want to park at the park you are going to end the day at. Although, if you end your day at Epcot, the monorail should still be running to the TTC for about an hour after Epcot closes.

As for parking at BW... I have not really heard of them really enforcing the 3 hour rule here, especially toward the end of the day. We did a specialty cruise from the BW once and had no problem parking. This was a few years ago so things may have changed.

It's going to take up too much of your day to go to the TTC and then transfer to whatever park. In addition, the TTC is notoriously bad for MGM and AK busses - the only hour-long bus wait I've ever had was for the AK from TTC. I just wouldn't want to depend on it, and it's just going to put your arrival even later.

Just drive to whatever park each day. The signs are so easy at WDW, as long as you keep following them you will be fine. As to the AK/BW thing, it would be a heck of a lot easier to just drive to BWV from AK. You can risk it other ways, but again, you'll likely be spending a lot of time on Disney transport that is unnecessary.

You really don't like driving, do you? ;)

:rotfl: Well, it's not that I hate it or anything, I just have a pretty lousy sense of direction. DD tells me all the time, "Mommy, you sure do turn around a lot". I'm just nervous about getting around- DH is the chauffer of the family, and he won't be with us for this trip.

I guess I'll have to get a really detailed map of the WDW/Kissimmee area. :teeth:

There are no MGM or AK buses at MK-they are at the TTC.The only buses at MK are resort buses. The buses at the TTC are definitely sporadic. If you do decide to park at the TTC,you can just take the short walk from the TTC to the Polynesian Resort and catch a bus there to MGM or AK. :)
