Couple of SSR ?s

We are leaving in a couple days for a week at SSR and I just have a few last minutes to ask...

1. We requested the Grandstand area (hopefully we'll get it). I've seen a few reports, but I'm still not sure about this. Is there a path to DTD from the Grandstand? I know that there's the path from Congress Park and there's the boat and there are buses.

2. How long is the walk from the Grandstand to Artist's Palette?

3. Also, kinda along the same lines...If we just barely miss a bus at the Grandstand stop, is it plausible to hoof it over to the Springs stop and hope to catch the bus there before it leaves the resort? This is assuming that it takes longer to stop at Carousel, Paddock and Congress Park than it does to walk to the Springs stop.

Yes, there's a walkway from the Grandstand area to West Side/DTD...go back by the golf shop to find the path's start point...walk over the bridge, bear to the left...it'll bring you the parking lot behind Cirque...you can cut thru the parking lot, or stay on the sidewalk (the parking lot cut-thru is a bit more direct)...then you'll be in West Side, right at Cirque...it takes maybe 10 minutes...the walkway from Congress Park lets you out at Market Place, so the two walkways take you to opposite ends of Downtown Disney...

It's a very quick walk over to Artist's Palette from the 2 buildings next to the Grandstand Pool...and not much further from the buildings "away" from the pool...I'd say 5 minutes from the pool (and two of Grandstand's buildings "front" the pool)...maybe 8 minutes from the two further out Grandstand buildings?

And yes, you can easily walk from the Grandstand bus stop to the Springs bus stop to catch a bus you missed at Grandstand...you don't even have to walk fast ... it'll take the bus you "just" missed a good 10 minutes to get to (and stop at) Paddock, Carousel and Congress Park (after it leaves Grandstand) and then get to the Springs bus stop...it'll take you no more than five minutes (walking steadily but not necessarily fast) to walk from the Grandstand bus stop to the Springs bus stop...
