Couple of ?'s about Chef Mickey's/ADR's

This will be our 1st trip to WDW so I've never done any of this before. I have a couple of questions.

We'd like to do a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's. What is the latest time you can get an ADR and still get breakfast? We were hoping something around 11:00 maybe.

Other thing is about all our ADR's. We are a family of 6 and will be staying at BLT. My IL's are also going and staying at BLT. My parents are going but are staying off-site. So, we have 10 total but only 8 are staying on-site. Can I make ADR's for all 10 when we are 180 days out? If only the 8, can I add the other 2 later with no problem?

As far as I know anyone can make ressies both on and off site. I would make them as soon as possible as it is one of the top places for kids and is difficult to get in. I think 11 or so is the latest. We mostly did dinner though.

That is good to know. I thought there were different rules for those staying on-site and those staying off We aren't at 180 days yet so I can't make anything yet. Just getting ready

You should make the reservation for 10. It is easier to remove than add.

Just an FYI - Partied of 8 or more will automatically have an 18% gratuity added on.

K, I'll do 10. I can make our ADR's on Monday

Also, I think they impose the gratuity on 6 or more, right? I was told just my family alone would have the added tip.

Yes, gratuity is added for 6 or more
On site guests can make up to 10 days worth of ADRs at the 180 day mark.
If you plan to mak all your ADRs to include all 10 of you, you will have to make them One Day at a Time, not all on the 180 day mark

Ok, I'm not following. So, I can make ressies for ALL even though only 8 are on-site? WHy only one day at a time if I can make 10 days worth at a time?

You can make reservations for as many as you want. Doesn't matter where the others are staying. Even on 180 plus 10, as long as you yourself are staying at a Disney resort.

We would like to do a Character breakfast on the last day before we head to the airport. Which is the Character breakfast (at one of the hotel resorts) that you would recommend we do? Is Chef Mickey's the most popular? Do characters other than Mickey and Friends show up at this?

Chef Mickey's is very poplular. You will see Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy.

For character breakfasts at resorts, there is also Cape May at the Beach Club, 1900 Park Fare at the GF, and 'Ohana at the Polynesian.

Cape May has Minnie, Donald and Goofy. GF has Alice, Mary Poppins, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, and the Mad Hatter (kind of an odd bunch, no?). 'Ohana has Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. Have fun!
