I'm thinking about applying for the CP, but would like to know a few things before I bother going through the process.

Do you have to live in the Disney housing or are you allowed to find your own if you choose?

Can you choose which apartment type you live in (1,2,3, or 4 bedroom)?

If you live in a 1 bedroom, do you still share a room with someone? Or can you live alone?

Are there always 2 people per bedroom? Can you get a private bedroom?

How many bathrooms are there usually? How many people would you be sharing the bathroom with?

If you're accepted, do you get to find out your role before before the accept/decline deadline?

OK...I think that's all...for now at least! :rotfl:

Thanks!

I can help some...
You can try to opt out of housing but it is not guaranteed.

You can request the size or your apartment, but not guaranteed, the earlier you show up, the better your chances.

In a one bedroom, you share it with someone else.

I do not think you can have a private bedroom, but I don't know.

Depending on the place you live, that determines the bathrooms. I think if you stay at Chatham or Patterson 3 bedroom there are three bathrooms so every two people would get their own.

You find out the role you get, but not where you will be working.

I hope I helped!!!

Yes, thank you Lala that answered some of my questions!

Which leads me to another...

Say you are accepted to Full Service Dining, or Attractions, or something.....can you request a certain restaurant/attraction? I know everything with Disney is a 'request', and in no way a guarantee...so can you make this type of request?

Yes you just send an email to recruiting @ WDW.College.Recruiting@disney.com and just tell them where you want to work. They will eventually get back to you and say that they put it in your file but it is not guaranteed. Even if you say in your letter that you understand it is not guaranteed. lol That is what happened to me and I was like, I think this is automated.

I can answer your questions...I was in the Fall Advantage 2009-2010 program

For your first program..you HAVE to live in the housing (Housing had told me and my roommates this..only after you finish your first program..and you want to extend..or doing the program again may you choose to live in Disney housing or not)

Yes you can choose what apartment type...but like lala said...the sooner you go...the higher your chances are of getting your choice...

Depending on the amount of rooms...thats how many bathrooms there are (1 bedroom=1 bathroom...and so on and so forth).....but that depends on where you stay...Patterson and Chatham do have this..but Vista (with certain apartments) can be different

And yes...if you're accepted..once you get your purple folder..it would tell you what role you received (and that's usually based on your interview)

You dont have to live in Disney housing. You can talk to them and get approved ahead of time. But its a long process and not everyone gets approved.
