Couple of DINKS in Disney

You think like me. I try to "drink" my germs away on vacation. I like that you rationalized that the screwdrivers were vitamin C - my kind of guy! :rotfl:

My mother didn't seem to understand my rational. Boy did I get an earful when we got home!

Just found your TR and really enjoying it! Fun to read about another couple in our category (early 30's, no kids). We've never been to Jellyrolls, though. Maybe we'll have to check that out on a future trip. Can't believe the bus driver you had...wow! I love your wife's necklace she's wearing during the photo shoot. Can't wait to hear about the Wishes Dessert Party...we'd love to do that!

Love the name and quote:

"I hid under your porch because I love you" - Dug

I should have an update tonight with the Dessert Party. Too much running around with Memorial Day weekend!

Great TR and I can't even see your pictures while I am at work. Well - that's not true - I can see one pic - your view from the BWV. Fabulous! Do you ever have any trouble staying at the BWV 7 months out? SSR is my home resort, but I would really like to try BWV or BC.

I can't believe how incredibly rude that bus driver was. I can't imagine him lasting too long.

You should be a promoter for Jelly Rolls. I have never visited it, but now I really want to.

Score on all the FP's pictures. How great to do a photo shoot. I can't wait to see your pictures.

May 4th, 2010: Still Day 4 - Il Mulino New York Trattoria

I completely forgot about our Il Mulino New York Trattoria ADR on the post. I have heard so many good things about this place I was dying to try it this trip so I didn't care what I felt like. We got there a little early and had a glass of wine at the bar while we soaked in the place, and what a beautiful place to soak in! I had the Pollo Parmigiana and DW had the Costoletta Di Vitello Milanese. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge. DW and I were only able to get through about a third of our meal. Since we were right next door to the BW and we were heading home after dinner we decided to wrap up the meals and take them with us. That was another first, but I knew it would be a good decision after a long night at Jellyrolls. ;)

May 5th, 2010: Day 5 Magic Kingdom w/ Wishes Dessert Party

Alright, so I wake up this morning and feel much better! I still have a little bit of that dragging/sick feeling, but I felt better. Must have been the Screwdrivers :thumbsup2 .

And we are back in the Magic Kingdom. It was a Green day according to TGM and we had the Wishes Dessert Party tonight anyway. If it was up to DW we would spend our entire vacation in the MK. I don't mind and the MK would be my favorite park at this point, but I still need some diversity. I am a big fan of DHS which DW enjoys, but she wouldn't be heart broken if we skipped it. I think ToT ruined that park for her, she gets the chills even looking at that ride. Although I give her credit for trying, I wont even attempt RnR. I have no problem with ToT, but inverts are not my thing!! :scared: Epcot is amazing and you have to love everything in that park. And as of right now the Animal Kingdom for us is not a biggie. It is a shame because I think it was one of the best themed and most beautiful parks in Disney. It has just been a hard park to tour for us. We usually go to Disney during a hotter time of year and that is not a park to tour when its over 90 degrees out (we ain't fallin' for that again). Plus the park closes very early which limits our time there.

Alright, back on topic, I don't know where that was going. There actually isn't too much to say about today. We just enjoyed the MK again and casually hopped on a ride as we strolled through the park. We passed Dumbo and I have no idea how, but I got out of riding it again. But in getting out of Dumbo I had to forfeit IASM, so we rode that......again. At this point I think DW can care less about the ride and the true attraction is my misery. :sad2:

Tonight's ADR was for the Liberty Tree Tavern, we finally get to try out that dinner we saw earlier in the trip. We have never been to a buffet restaurant where you were served, so that was interesting. What is better then a home cooked type of meal when you are feeling under the weather. I don't know if it was a great restaurant or if it just hit the spot but the food was absolutely perfect.

Back out into the park and we head over to the People Mover since it was closed the last time we tried to ride it. After a relaxing ride on TTA we check out Buzz and The Laugh Factory again. At that point it was time to head over to the Wishes Dessert Party.

We checked out the Dessert Party this past October for Hallowishes. What a great first way to experience that show! We liked the party so much that we decided to book it again this trip. For those of you who don't know about the Dessert Party the info can be found here. We walk over to the Tomorrowland Terrace and are shown to our table. Once again we luck out with a table right in the front. Like the last party there was a PhotoPass photographer taking pictures. This should give you a good gauge of the angle you are viewing Wishes:

Wishes is over and we head out of the park again with the rest of the masses. It actually wasn't that crowded and although we had to wait for two buses, they came quickly. And once again we are off to Jellyrolls, and this is why we stay at the Boardwalk!

Here is Daniel (one of the most talented players there) teaching everyone There Was A Tree:

And that about sums it up for today. Jellyrolls closes and we head back to our room. A quick shower and I am off to bed to rest up for our day of DHS tomorrow.

Thanks for the compliments. Since we usually go to Disney during the slower times of the year we have never had a problem staying at the BW. We usually do have a couple of days that are wait-listed, but knock on wood they have always come through.

We booked the BW for our upcomming trip from 11/26-12/4. We were only wait listed for 12/1-12/3 and got the rest of the days. The wait list came through a couple of weeks later and we now have the 1BR for the entire week.

HTH

Loving your TR!! You have some awesome pics in here! I've never seen such good shots from photopass actually. Can't wait to hear about the rest!!
