We stayed at Country Inn and Suites LBV May 30-June 1. Just DH and myself. We had a king, non-smoking room. Room number 116. It was first floor just a little from the lobby. Not a great view but we didn't get it for the view. We got it for $89.10 a night AAA rate. The staff were quick at check-in and the room was spotless. Even better is that they just opened a Flipper's Pizza right around the corner at Crossroads over by Gooding's.
I left a note for more pillows and lotion since I got a sunburn on my arm. When we got back to the room housekeeping had left me 4 bottles of lotion and 3 more pillows. We had a microwave and fridge which was useful. We kept a PUR pitcher in the fridge so we always had cold water. The only problem with that is that the water froze in the pitcher and there was no thermostat to change how cold it was. The chocolate chip cookies were plentiful the entire time which was great for a quick snack instead of having dessert and the continental breakfast was quite good even though it was just bagels, fruit, yogurt, cereal and waffles. Everyone there was friendly as always.
The only drawback which wasn't their fault was on Saturday night we smelled smoke from a fire that was out near the airport. It lingered all night and Sunday morning you could see a haze outside. Not good for an asthmatic but there's nothing we could do. Good thing we came home on Sunday b/c I never could have lasted at the parks with that. All in all, it's our favorite hotel when we can't stay on Disney property.
