I read on allears that the Country Bear's were not doing their holiday version of the show this year. Can anyone who has been there recently verify this. I've never seen this version and I was disappointed to here it since I'll be at WDW in mid-December. Thanks for any info.

Mouseplanet.com is also reporting there will be no Christmas version. Both Mouseplanet and AllEars are usually reliable.

The reason for there being no Country Bear Xmas show this year is because of guest demand and operational needs, according to the Disney Cast Portal and assorted CM publications.

So, if you want to see the Bears' Xmas show return next year, I strongly suggest that you write them letters.

Here's some addresses:

Phil Holmes
Vice President of the Magic Kingdom
PO Box 10000
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
(He'd be the most effective source to send a letter too, since he has the most control.)

Meg Crofton
President of the Walt Disney World Resort
PO Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Walt Disney World Guest Communications
PO Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040
(or e-mail at wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com)

Hope this helps.

After all, they ARE monitoring the guest feedback regarding this issue and they'll bring it back if they recieve enough outcry, asking for its return.

Somebody reported on a recent thread that a CM told them they would have it for Christmas week this year. I really hope so.

That would be nice, but I doubt they are.

I read that the "customer demands" were that first timers were not being able to see the "original" show during Christmas when they were here. I would hope the reason isnt that silly...if thats the case, why bother doing any holiday themes. Realistically, i go there once a year and see something new EVERY trip. Why would you complain just because you see a buffalo with a santa hat on his head.

It's because they change the Country Bear show entirely at Christmastime, not just decorate the theater, change the sets and put different costumes on the figures.

Still, I strongly believe that the Country Bear Xmas show will return in the future, especially if public outcry for its return continues.
