Hi all, We leve in 2 days :dance3: & i'm still getting my head around DDP, we had our first trip last year, but did not do DDP.....so

If u eat at a CS that does not do desserts, what happens to ur dessert credit?

TIA

I may be wrong but I believe all the CS have some kind of desserts, cookies or brownies mostly.

You also do not have to get a piece of cake, ice cream or a cookie as a dessert. At first I thought the amount of dessers on the DDP was way too much, but I got fruit for dessert one time at lunch, another time they allowed me to get the strawberry yogurt as a dessert. I normally eat very healthy at home and do not eat a super sweet dessert after lunch so I went to the healthier options most times. Normally I would have a piece of fruit or a yogurt after lunch so that fit right into my normal habits.

I do not recall seeing any CS places that did not offer some type of dessert.

Oooh, thanks for that, i'm just working my way through the menus on All Ears, we would never have dessert at lunch time at home, but fruit or somthing we could save for later is cool ;)

Does anyone have any good CS for DHS, or Epcot?

I'm sure we will never get through all the meals :rotfl:

The frozen lemonade at Flame Tree is really good and refreshing.

There was a listing on the 2008 DDP FAQ thread that the Lunching Pad (at MK) does not offer dessert - apparently if you use a CS there you just don't get a dessert. This is the only reference I have seen to a CS without dessert offerings - and it may have changed since it was listed.

The resort CS restaurants will have the widest assortment of dessert options as the Grab and Go section is a source some examples of items there:

- Novelty ice crea(ie. Mickey bars, etc.)
- Bakery items, packaged cookies, packaged cake, cup cakes, etc.
- Fruit, yougurt

One favorite of my 6yo nephew was the sliced apples with a cup of caramel dip. That one is nicely packaged and can be kept in the fridge for a snack or quick breakfast item!

In Epcot, there are great CS places!

My kids love the one in Japan, and we love Morocco as well!

It's really fun to try stuff from other places. We rarely like burgers and stuff, but at DHS it's not quite as good IMHO. We try to avoid mealtimes there, unless we're at the 50's Prime Time, or the Sci Fi (both TS).

There are a few CS places without desserts Lunching Pad, Cool Wash pizza place in Epcot, and there were a few in Animal Kingom and DHS that were just really small hot dog/sandwich stands. If you get a CS meal there you just don't get dessert same with getting a CS breakfast no dessert. Some of these seem to be adding kids meals though so you could probably get a kids jello or little cookie as the dessert.

I lot of days we would get cookies as our conter service dessert, not hungry for them at that moment, take them back to the room, and have them with a cup a tea at the end of the night.

For Breakfast counter service at our resort (ssr) they gave us an extra drink in place of the desert. Great to grab a bottle of water for the park.

Also - they counted cereal and a small milk as one snack! That was great for my DD breakfast!
