Counter Service

My favorite so far are the following:

1) At Animal Kingdom the Flame Tree BBQ is so tasty and the portions are great

2) At MK...we have not eaten a whole lot of CS here so take it witha grain of salt but you can't go wrong with a hot dog or corn dog nuggets from Casey's...he hope to try something different this time.

No opinions on Studios, althought I will say I thought the pizza at Pizza Planet was some of the grossest I have had at Disney or anywhere....and no opinion at Epcot.

Our favorite is Cosmic Rays in MK. Cute little show. The hamburgers tasted flame grilled here. So it gets my vote for best burgers of all the parks/resorts. It seems like there was a sandwich fixins bar here also.

MK - Pecos Bill's and Cosmic Ray's
Epcot - Germany (black forest cake is outstanding)
DHS - Studio Catering Company
AK - Tough one. We liked Restaurantosaurus because we didn't like anyplace else, but I think they changed the menu since last visit 4/08

MK - Columbia Harbor House
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
DHS - Backlot Express (not a lot of options here)
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons in the Land

Epcot - Yakitori House, Sunshine Seasons
MK - Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station

I too like Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill's. The fixings bar is great.:thumbsup2 Casey's Corner was okay, they had a small fixings bar too. I like Flame Tree BBQ also. I would like to try Picnic in the Park, but my family is not interested.:sad2: At the Studios I've only eaten at the Commisary, it's okay. I have not been to EPCOT as frequently as the other parks, but the family is going again in a few days. I'm torn as to which counter service to try. I've eaten at the Electric Umbrella and Sunshine Seasons. I'm interested in the french bakery and Morroco. My youngest would like to try Lotus Blossom for the orange chicken. I think the plan is to scope these out and then decide. And to add a new dimension to the thread, I like the Chef dinners at POFQ & POR.

MK - Columbia Harbor House
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
DHS - Rosie's Cafe
Epcot - Elec. Umb

MK: Columbia Harbor House, Cosmic Ray's
AK: Flame Tree BBQ, Yak & Yeti
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, Cantina de San Angel, Yorkshire County Fish & Chips
DHS: Studio Catering Co.

MK: Pecos Bill's
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons Food Fair
AK: Flame Tree
DS: NO WHERE all the CS is gross.

Favorite of the Favorites is Tangerine Cafe in Epcot.
At MK, favorite is Columbia Harbour House, followed by Main Street Bakery (yes they have sandwiches) if they're not too busy.
Favorite at AK is Pizzafari for their hot deli sandwich.
At DHS-no favorite because they're all about the same. But I see that Min and Bill's Dockside Diner is now serving hot dogs and I don't remember that before, so I might try there. No place has been too great there.

I love Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom - it's a nice departure from typical theme-park burgers/dogs. I love their hummus sandwich and their tuna sandwich.

On my last visit to Epcot I tried Tangerine Cafe in Morocco and really enjoyed it too.

MK - another vote for Columbia Harbour House. It is a nice change from cheeseburger, chicken nuggets. And the sandwiches are a good size. My DH and I get the tuna and the girls get the chicken and fish.

AK - Flame Tree BBQ. We all love pulled pork. And go sit way in the back by the water. We saw lots of alligators in the water.

Epcot - France - dessert for lunch? Just kidding. Had a good ham and cheese on a croissant - all 4 of us liked their sandwiches. (and you can't resist getting dessert while in line :))

I loved Flame Tree BBQ in AK! We had to eat there because of the wonderful smell as we passed by, and we were not disappointed! :thumbsup2

We also got a good BBQ Chicken pizza from Catalina Eddie's in DHS.

My faves are :

MK: Columbia Harbor House

Epcot: Tangerine Cafe

DHS: Uhhh...

AK: Used to be Tusker House. Now that it's Table Service, nothing.
:sad1:

Picnic in the Park is a new picnic lunch offered at AK. You order it ahead of time, pick it up and take it to designated locations to eat. It counts as a counter service meal.

Exactly. Sandwich or quiche and dessert.:thumbsup2 Does it count as a counter service location when on the dining plan?
