Counter service to go?

We will be staying at OKW the first week of June. I notice that there is not much as far as quick service there. Do any of the counter service restaurants in the parks allow you to order the food to go? We are purchasing the quick service dining plan. I thought a few days we might grab food to go on our way out of the park and head back to OKW to eat and have pool time.

I've taken items out of the restaurant when we were getting in line early for the 7 Dwarfs at a MNSHHP, but they didn't have "takeout" containers.

It would be easy enough to bring a small collapsable cooler or just small insulated lung tote in your park bag for carrying things back to the resort.

As the PP noted, most places don't have 'to go' containers to put the food in, so this could be a problem. Entrees are normally just served on paper plates. And the beverages are in cups- hard to transport without spilling. Might just be easier to eat before you go back to your resort.

One other issue is that you wouldn't be eating whatever you bought until about an hour after you got it.

As the PPs have indicated, most of the CS places are not really equipt to handle "take out" in the traditional sense. You can ask for a second plate to cover the top of the food and some places have paper bags that you can slide the plates into. You can also try to find CS places that have pre-packaged foods that are ready to be transported. If you are going to transport lots of food, you might consider carrying ziploc bags with you.

I know captain cooks, the float works and mara all have to go containers....so I think all the hotel QS's might...

It will be rather difficult to carry food out of the parks, as most park CS do not provide any kind of to-go packaging, so if you wish to do this, you may want to bring your own carryout packaging. And maybe refrain from selecting hot foods, unless you can heat them up in your microwave when you get back, or you don't mind eating them cold.

Yes, the hotel QS places expect some people to get to go food because maybe they want to eat in their rooms or maybe out by the pool.

Most people at at QS in a park are only going to take it to the seating area.

So OP as others have posted, yes you can get it but its maybe a pain to get it back to your resort and may not be in very good shape when you get it there.
